Again he's the only pro who will say what we think in here, when he thinks some dances have been overscored that were poorer than others, even if its not for him and his partner, I know he has a firey temper, but I can totally understand why he did it, he saw his partner work her behind off, and to hear them say those comments, when there have been totally terrible jives that have been past, even tonight, the salsa was over marked, the rumba was and so was the cha cha, brendan was the only one to do somat.

I agree but you know it will just result in loads of flack for him

Yeah but only the other day everyone was bemoaning the loss of bad Brendan now they can moan about him being back...basically moan however he behaves so whats the difference.

Personally I love the fact he's passionate and honest

Her jive deserved maybe 3 9's and 1 8 from Craig, so she was undermarked by 2, but not hugely undermarked, and not enough for loose cannon Brendon to fire off a salvo.

I don't love or hate him...but I hardly think he's the best person to judge his own performance and that of his partner.

Unlike some I'm not psychic and I don't know what Brendan thinks...so I don't know whether he's 'speaking his mind' or just being an idiotic, attention-seeking drama queen.

It was a ropey jive for this level of competition.

If she was undermarked by two points that makes the difference between finishing 2nd or 3rd I think. It could have put them in a higher position on the leaderboard and make a difference to the final result. Every single point matters at this stage.

If Brendan thought their jive undermarked he had every right to say so. Perhaps walking off in a huff wasn't the best of ideas - but even good boy Brendan has his breaking point!

Two points at this stage mean a heck of a lot, esp when some dances shouldnt have got more, but hey ho thanks for the post!

I dunno, much as I dislike Lisa I have to admire Brendan for what he's done with her.

Seems the phrase 'can't polish a turd' isn't always correct.

Jive was poor though

He plays his part but I think too predictably. In fact he overplays it to a cringeworthy degree on occasions.

He knows it will always work to an extent in an RTV context but seriously he could do with modulating his OTT silly antics at times.

I wonder if he played the bad boy card at just the right time.

tbh I sometimes think Brendan gets way too competitive, but tonight I was really on his side. Lisa had worked so hard all week and I really think she pulled it off tonight.

So to hear those comments afterwards must have been tough, and I don't like to say it, but I think those judges scores just put them in the bottom 2

He taps in to the fantasies of the 'he's only being honest' / 'he tells it like it is' brigade. That's his trump card.

The price he pays is it makes him look like a muppet to a lot of viewers I suspect....but I doubt very much that he cares.

I understand all the pro's getting a bit annoyed by the judges comments at some point, but if every pro stropped off it would be ridiculous!

There is such a thing as grace under fire, and I don't think Brendan is the only one passionate about his partner, so why should he be allowed to behave so childishly?

Tom was adorable next to Lisa, and I am sure she appreciated him lightening the mood. It must have been awkward for her.

So was this post.
Obnoxious thing to say.

Brendan was right to storm of with the reasonings, their jive was not undermarked if anything overmarked, but he was right! Lesser dances have got higher marks! I know Brendan would have accepted it graciously if it was right in the context of the night but it wasn't.

I love Brendan but what he couldn't see was that he out-danced Lisa. Both Lisa and Rachel looked stiif beside their professional dancers but the difference was more in Lisa's case.

I think it's very childish to go stomping off because you don't agree with the judges and/or their marks. Austin and Erin took it on the chin when they were undermarked. Just my opinion!

I am sure in the history of SCD, many, many professional dancers have thought their celeb was undermarked but only Brendan has stormed off. It doesn't matter what he thought about the judges, he should respect Lisa enough to stand by her side and support her.

Top marks to Tom for stepping in though - hilarious moment of the series for me.

In answer to the Op, I don't hate or love Brendan, am indifferent to him.

I don't know what impact it will have on the voting, but my impression was that it was fairly ungallant for him to walk off despite the image of Lisa struggling to pull him back and failing. Passionate or not, it really does show him to be more concerned with this own feelings than leaving Lisa looking exposed - shown more by the welcome stepping in of Tom.

But were they undermarked?

Not imo.

It was great to see 'bad boy' Brendan back - he was getting a bit boring!

I found the storming off and Tom stepping in hilarious (maybe that's just me, though )

That Jive was ridiculously over marked - should have been all 7s and maybe one Len/Bruno 8. I thought Christine's was better and Jodie's was on a par with it.

I agree with Ignazio.

Erin and Austin actually had quite sour faces even though they got 8's and 9's. Tonight, the gap in the quality of their dances and the others was a country mile and they are deservedly bottom of the leaderboard.

I felt Lisa's Jive was overmarked tbh, I thought at best it was 7s and 8s, certainly not a 9, it was the worst dance of the night for me. I admire Brendan for his honesty, but I'm not sure it'll do them any favours when it comes to the public vote
