I am not a fan of Diana, her voice or the fact people think she's a style icon and was the only contestant to be offered a contract by both Gary and Simon.

BUT I feel that if she gets a recording contract it should be from someone who would give her a proper chance at a career. Not to say Simon is not a good boss but the other x factor acts on his roster and formerly signed by him had really crap albums and weren't properly managed.

If she signed with Gary I feel that she would benefit from a longer career. I can't explain it . Anyone really, any company with a better idea of marketing her. AShe ahs potential, if she gets some proper singing/diction lessons.

If I were offered a contract by Simon, I wouldn't accept it tbh. That's just me.

Anyone agree/disagree? Think i'm being silly?

I'd pick Gary Barlow, but probably for different reasons.......

Seriously though, I agree - I think he would be a lot more responsible with Diana's material that she would release and not just see her as a cash cow.

I agree, all of the others that haven't won, haven't really done as well have they? I just hope to hear more from her

I honestly think Diana should take Gary's offer. He knows all about songwriting and can help her develop that side of her talent. Gary knows how to make amazing albums.

I agree - anyone really rather than Simon Cowell. I don't think he would do her justice.

She should wait for her xfactor contract to end, and pick Gary Barlow. He'd write some good songs for her as well

Simon has shown what he thinks of her the past few weeks. She needs to realise that if he offers her anything, it is only to keep her from being a success with another label.

Gary Barlow is interested in Diana the artist, whereas Simon is interested in Diana the mainstream pop star.

I know which Diana I would prefer to see again.

Yes it's finding good original songs that will make her career and Gary Barlow is a good songwriter. Simon Cowell will just dump a load of cheap covers on her and milk what he can out of the X-factor hangover

gary barlow has no experience in business side of the music biz he a writer producer singer, barlow hasnt got a record label

Hope she gets some decent, impartial (non-Cowell) advice over the next few days and weeks and doesn't rush into anything.

If he thinks Universal are going to, then he will. If he lets her go to RCA, then she might want to consider that.


He does have a record label, recently set up. It's part of Universal (similar set up to Syco Music and SME) and is backed by Lucian Grainge, a man more important than Simon Cowell.

Think that Gary will be back pedalling big style!

i think all the contestants affairs r handled by one of cowells henchman while they r under contract to xfactor

Xfactor will have ALL the contestants SIGNED up in some way or another so she may not have much of a choice .

Gary Barlow and Cathy Dennis would be the dream team for any of the contestants. Cathy Dennis is a seriously good songwriter.
