How good was Lisa's jive ?

It wasn't good - flat footed and bad posture. Very leaden. If Christine had done a jive like that she would have been torn to shreds, not given high marks and told "oh, well, it wasn't your dance"

It was no better than Jodie or Christine's so how she managed to get those high scores is beyond me.

It was quite simple, and Lisa didn't have enough bounce in her standing leg ( look at Brendan) - but I quite enjoyed it - I think she did fine.

Christine or anyone else! It wasn't good - Christine and Jodie's were better, but Lisa has been overmarked for everything except the Viennese Waltz, imo... As for Brendan's reaction: 8s were generous, even in the context of 10s being the standard mark..

Brendan of course spoke before the marks were given. He was more questioning the comments. I am sure when he sees the footage he will agree with the judges, although I think Lisa did a good job. And his tactic of concentrating more on perfecting one dance for a probable dance off is probably the best way to go.
I personally didn't see anything wrong with him expressing an opinion, he wasn't aggressive or rude and Tom taking his place gave the only comedy moment of the entire series so far.

It's not a matter of not being aggressive or rude, it's about being gracious and showing some tact.

And Tom behaved like such a gent stepping in there. Brendan take note.

Her legs. posture and bounce were all off IMO. She was lucky to get the marks she did.

Although Craig has said it is boring without the occasional flashes of the old Brendan. I saw nothing wrong with what he did, and Tom was able to bring some comedy to the evening, far surpassing the script poor Bruce is given to read out every week. It is an entertainment show and it needs a variety of characters. Lisa and Brendan have become good friends and know each other well now. She had no problems with it last night, unlike the first week when she thought he was upset with her.

she tried but I thought it was awful

At least Lisa performed a Jive routine with identifiable Jive steps - Brendan had just watched a Samba danced to Salsa music be given a 10

I agree. Both tall girls however Lisa did a better job.
Wasn't perfect (what can you expect in a week, indeed) and certainly didn't deserve 'tens'. Perhaps couple more nines though would've been more accurate than four eights

I thought that bit with Brendan walking off and Tom stepping in was hilarious. Good fun
We all know how Brendan can be and I feel that this season he's actually been quite tolerable Looking out for Lisa and getting annoyed when he feels she's not marked the way he thinks she should after in this case that jive.
No harm in it and nothing to put one's knickers in a knot about

GO LISA & BRENDAN

I thought Christine did a better jive but she was not the judges pet was she?”

You mean alongside Rachel, Cherie, and whoever else has been given this dubious title this year.

Good enough to keep her in, I hope.

Not being a dancer, I thought her jive was good, but have to admit when Brendan's jiving, I'm looking at him not his partner, and he was flippin' marvellous.

I agree he is wonderfully distracting

Lisa did a very good jive and I thought 4x8's from the judges was a good score. Whoever decided on that choice of music did not do them any favours, it was so fast with no let up.

I liked it, and she looked as if she was enjoying doing it.

Was it only one mark 'worse' than Jill Halfpenny's?

Didn't Jill originally get a score of 36 or something for her Jive before the final ?

I actually thought her Jive was pretty good, as was Jodie's. Unfortunately, I think these 2 already lost points before they even danced because of their height + not suiting this style of dancing
