Watching it again, I'm sorry, I still think it's very substandard...

I thought the judges were watching a different dance.

It was flat footed, lacked bounce and lacked control.

You mean how BAD was Lisa's jive more like. It was not a pretty sight. No, not at all. Yes, Jodie did much better than her.

Brendan is far better doing ballroom than latin. His silly head 'bopping' thing is just hilarious for all the wrong reasons.

I just watched everything again tonight. God, her jive was absolutely abominable. I really do think that the judges had a look at what they needed to give her to keep her one mark above Austin.

Why ?

Well, at the end of the day, that is kind of the point of the jive - it's a fast dance, with no let up at all. It's exhausting, and yes, it is hard to keep up - but the judges are supposed to be judging as professionals, and to be honest you can't really make allowances. If Lisa's allowed to make mistakes with her legs because she's tall, then Austin should be allowed to make mistakes with his arms because they're a little stumpy. Brendan's reaction was pathetic - they were very lucky to get 8s, frankly.

To be honest, I thought the judging was, well, bullsh*t on Saturday. Austin should not have been at the bottom of the leader board. Lisa's jive was, frankly, crap, and her waltz wasn't really all that - I mean, what was with that leg cock halfway through? She looked like a dog cocking its leg for a piss!

I think towards the end of the competition the judges have a tendency to overmark - nobody's performance truly stood out for me last night, except maybe Tom and Camilla's foxtrot, and even that had its faults.

And no, I'm not being nasty - I say it as I see it.
