Will Diana make it now
just a thought. They are tied into a year contract with the xfactor. Thats the reason rhydian and same difference have only just come out with albums as their contracts ended. just dont think she made such an impact as rhydian and same diff. Will she become the new nikki?????

Like all finalists Diana is contracted until the end of the tour. Both Rhydian and Same Difference were offered completely different contracts and as far as I know, Diana has not yet been offered a recording contract. Why is it so hard to get the facts right? |

I honestly believe that she'll have a modest and brief 'career'
History shows that very few people who didn't win go on to have a long lasting career (Lemar was the exception) - and even winning is no guarantee as Leon is finding out. Given that Diana has evidently been getting less popular over the weeks as people have increasingly grown tired of her contrived 'one trick pony' style, there's little reason to think that she's going break that particular mould No doubt the Diana devotees will now point to her 10 zillion Facebook friends as if that is somehow relevant

I'd imagine she'll do well with some decent songwriters behind her.
There's no telling though. I'm certainly looking forward to her first album. |

yes
i think out of all the singers she is going to be the one to watch she is original sounding and diverse... is y ppl have kept her in for so long.. admittedly her singing can b weak but shows great potential.. so a years worth of training while she is tied into this contract n she will be great i see all the others as unoriginal and just ppl singing to win a contest rather than a proper record career alex is a good singer and performer but has nothing on leona and well just dont see anything so special and new about her JLS...well there is a market..albeit girls!!, they cud release one album n it do alright but i believe it would be a one album wonder Eoghan...well i doubt he would do too well.. look what happened to lil chris.. theres a tiny market for it with kids n grandmas but dont see him going anywhere what is special about any of them? Diana was a breath of fresh air this is a blessing in disguise for her.. n she knows it.. already has a record deal sorted whatever happens whether it be thru simon or gary barlow! |

I think Diana has made more of an impact than Same Difference and Rhydian, put together. OK maybe not Rhydian, the man is a legend, but if Diana releases a few acoustic-y albums I think she will do very well for herself. I for one would buy any album she released. OK maybe not BUY, but acquire.

I don't know if she'll have huge commercial success but I do think that she will have a sustainable career doing what she wants to do. She's probably better off having more time to find herself as an artist etc.

I honestly have no idea.
Not particularly useful to the thread, I know, but there it is. She's got the various attributes required and a few people in the business really liked her. She was never a default favourite because your other favourite went out, those that liked her really liked her (and those that hated her...). So that bodes well for her as a recording artist. But she's lumbered with the "XF Reject" tag now which makes a tricky business even harder for her. She NEEDS to try and find some independent advice. And I mean tomorrow morning!! Best of luck to her and I hope she does it. |

n i know its sad to say this but gary barlow is known to be a great british songwriter n performer.. he offered her a deal!!!! thats got to mean something!
i think she does neeed sum more practice strengthening her voice as she has been nervous to watch but with sum coaching and experience etc etc she will be a sucess Last edited by thelostprophet : 07-12-2008 at 00:04. Reason: forgot stuff |

I think she'll do well. But I worry, coz those who don't make it in to the final usually get forgotten about. But given what style of music she is in too, I think she could go far. I think she'll get picked up quite quickly. Gary Barlow, for one, looks keen!

Hmmm not sure your facts are quite right either. Diana has been offered a contract with Gary Barlow.
![]() If there has I'll apologise but I thought that was where all the stories had come from. |

I hope she does really well, and has a long career, but I fear she is similar to Alex Parks - different/quirky/brilliant on the reality show, but not a successful/popular recording artist.

Is it a firm offer though, or just based on his comment for her to give him a ring if Simon didn't sign her? He may have just said it as a compliment. Besides, that was weeks ago when she was still very popular. Maybe he's had second thoughts since the press and many of her fans have turned on her, or at least away from her. I think she has a chance even if she doesn't get signed straight away. She could always find a small independent label and record her own stuff. As long as it's released before the end of next year, there'd still be interest from those still her fans. With iTunes and all the music download sites, it'll be easier for her to get her material to her fans. |
