iPod advice?

Ok, well really just a bit of advice is what is needed here.

Well i have two iPods already one a shuffle and the other a nano (with the screen that plays vids) that i brought some tiem ago. But now i am thinking of buying this:
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...ext%3EIPOD.htm

But the thing is, on my other two iPods, they don't go very loud. It's not even loud at all. Admitingly the shuffle goes a few steps louder than the nano but i tried using this gopod software but that didn't work either as it isn't compatible with my PC(vista). So really all i want to know is, is how loud would the sound go if i brought one of the above iPods? because my friends say there's go really loud. Do i just have bad luck or something lol.

I would buy an American model as the EU forces European models to have the volume limited in loudness to protect your hearing.

Order from a US store or buy from ebay USA.

Or, you could just buy a European one and simply replace the firmware.

If you google for "ipod firmware volume" (or something similar) you'll get links to tons of pages about this:

(EDIT: I know you can upgrade the firmware to get round this on older models ... dunno about the newer ones)

I know this will sound stupid but for months i thought that my iPod was awfully quiet, until i realised i had not taken off the Volume Limit! It was set to about 2/3 full, i have since changed it and it is as loud as i would want it.
