Pretty much agree although if any dance was worth a 10 last night it was Tom's foxtrot. I too really struggled with seeing why Rachel and Vincent's tango was so highly regarded. It looked robotic to me and she appeared to lose balance more than once.

I honestly can't remember any of them.

Except that Austin's AS was a big disappointment.
None of the rest stood out in a good way for me.

I have to echo what a lot of people are saying - this year has some very good dancers but nobody has star quality.

Jill's dancing spoke for itself.
Alesha had personality in spades!

But I was totally underwhelmed last night.

These are the marks I wrote down whilst watching the show and I pretty much agreed with the judges overall. Thought Lisa was slightly overmarked but not by much.

Ballroom

Austin and Erin - American Smooth - agree with Craig, it was boring and lacked any pazzaz or flair. Even the lifts looked messy and not very impressive - 8

Lisa and Brendan - Waltz - Gorgeous! Simple but effective, she performed the dance , and it was amazing. I thought one of her leg lines was not very elegant however and occasionally her feet didn't come together. But Magical all the same! - 9

Tom and Camilla - Foxtrot - Another great dance! Managed to get the swing and sway and he really drove the dance, you could tell he was leading. His just needs to lower his leading arm for me. - 9

Rachel and Vincent - Tango - Stunning Technique, her feet and legs were so staccato it was fantastic. I would have liked her head movements to have been more staccato aswell though. Amazing choreography - 9

Latin

Austin and Erin - Salsa - He performed it and it was entertaining. His footwork was fantastic, very intricate, but he needs a more natural hip action from flex and stretch of his legs, not just "wiggling" his bottom! He also lost the performance sometimes. It didn't excite me - 8

Lisa and Brendan - Jive - Brave attempt. Posture was vey poor, her shoulders came up and neck lurched forward. However her footwork was great, full of energy and she really performed. She just needed mpore bounce from her standing leg - 8

Tom and Camilla - Rumba - I've always hated Camilla's Rumba's and this was no differnet. She always choreographs too many tricks and lines, and it was too hectic. There was not enough Rumba content for me and I felt Tom was overwhelmed. I did, however get a sense of some emotion from the dance, it's only saving grace. - 8

Rachel and Vincent - Cha Cha Cha - Definatley her best fast latin dance! As ever it was technically on the money. Sometimes she lost the performance and there were a couple of "sticky" transistions. - 9

I think, based on tonight dances Austin deserves to go, although looking back I feel he may deserve to stay from his previous dances. Rachel was the only consistent dancer of the night IMO and deserves a place next week.

Rachel & Vincent Tango - 8..Very good..sharp but still needed more "character".
Rachel & Vincent Cha Cha - 7..Good, but not enough fun and exuberance for me.
