Why so many Spoiler Threads, for goodness sake!?
Strictly Autumn

It isn't very fair on those who have yet to discover the result.

In the majority of threads I have looked in, there has been either a hint or a clear spoiler.

Instead of ruining it for the others, post in the actual, Spoiler Thread.

I was just going to say the same thing, why aren't they keeping it to the one thread? Ridiculous, the title that says the judges ruin it by overmarking ... I wont continue but they've made it obvious.

It's very difficult to discuss the future when a lot of us already know which 1 of the 4 is out.

Not defending the rampant spoilers but it is hard to talk about the next stages when you KNOW that X won't be there.

Why can't they all discuss it in the Spoiler thread? Where you know people who go in there already know who's gone, who was in the bottom two etc

It could be contained in one thread or a few threads surely just for Sunday? I have no problem with people posting it but why make it obvious in the title?

I would have thought it was easier to talk about the next stages when you know a particular couple is not there. |Now we are down to three couples - so it must be easier.

Bit pointless still talking about possibilities with four couples when we know one has gone.

With many of them one doesn't even have to go into the thread - it's plain from the title. By all means comment, complain, etc - but I'd thought that was what the spoiler thread was for (which is why I head there after every Saturday show). I used to wonder at people who avoided DS all day on a Sunday - but no longer! There can't be a single person visiting the main page who doesn't know who went out, which isn't fair on those (admittedly weird ) people who would rather be surprised on Sunday night...

I see your point, but would still say that if that's the case, people should find someothing else to do/ discuss, as most spoiler thread addicts do every Sunday. And () it needn't even be Strictly-related...

I agree. Previous weeks have been ok but today every other thread is a spoiler.

Are DS Mods away for the weekend ??

wtf is going on ?
8 spoiler threads just on the first page, and there's more on page two.

This is really bad form !!!

^^^^ If you click the report post button, it alerts the mods and they can decide what to do.

Definitely not.

I reported a post which had a spoiler in the title (accidentally, I think) and it was edited within less than a minute.

I always read the spoiler thread anyway, but agree with the OP on this.

You are right but you have to be very, very, careful not to give the game away and even if they don't say who goes people will start talking about things and inadvertently leave someone's name out - which only has one inference. Its inevitable that people will get it wrong and the time limit on editing makes it difficult to tell them and for them to remove it. This week with 4 good dancers left it was inevitable that the discussions in other threads would get corrupted which is why I suppose the spoiler word turns up in so many threads today. The only alternative would be for anyone posting after finding out the the result only to use the spoiler thread.

I was criticised & mocked when I made exactly these points last week
I think my thread (or rather it's message) got lost quickly in a mire of criticism towards me so maybe a lot of 'sympathetic people didn't see it
Nice to see I'm not alone in thinking this though
I shall have to stay off this forum completely SUnday next week
It seems the only way to avoid seeing the result before the show

I find it easier just to steer clear of the forum from when the lines close until the result is given. I like the drama of watching it and living through it with the participants, even if it is recorded.

You're safe next week. Results are on Saturday because of BBC Sports Personality.
