Please can the dancers among you please enlighten me. To me it looked very flat, she stumbled a few times, her leg kicks were messy and it lacked passion . I'm not a dancer though. I thoght it was worth 7 or 8 at a push.

I agree. It now seems that as the judges have convinced themselves that she is technically, the best dancr, they have to score accordingly. It wasn't anywhere near as good as arlene was saying. Did I blink and miss the passion?

I do dance, and I thought the same.

There were amazing parts, but also a few shaky parts.

They set the floor on fire.

I was engrossed from the very first beat, the very first move.

The routine was filled with intricate and innovative choreography that mirrored the music perfectly.

And, as ever, Rachel was technically very sound.

Full marks were well deserved

But I respect that it might not have peeled your banana OP

Certainly didn't do very much for me.
The judges do seem to be very biased

I thought it was good, she had a fabulous frame and got into the character wel.
However i thought her cha cha was totally over rated, to get a 10 was silly. Lisas was much better last IMO.

Or perhaps you and the judges just have different tastes?

Technically good but I forgot it as soon as the music finished. Absoloutely nothing compared to the genius of Zoe & Ian's Tango. Deserved an 8, maybe a 9 tops.

Absolutely nothing was great. She wobbled a couple of time, did not have those razor sharp head moves required in the tango. All in all, she was over marked again - are you telling me that that tango was better than Zoe and Ian's, give me a break. I think the judges need to go and have their eyes tested; she wobbles and gets 10's; if anyone alse wobbles they get lower marks

But hey that is just my opinion, you are all entitled to disaggree.

Yep - that description works for me too! Well done Sidmone x

It had good bits in it but it seems too soft to deserve tens - there didn't seem to be much sharp tango staccato action in it. It was worth a 9 tops IMO and a 39 score for it was ridiculous over-marking.

It was dramatic, very well performed and very crisply and cleanly executed apart from the odd mistake which Craig correctly highlighted.

I had doubts about the music beforehand but I thought Vincent's excellent and challenging choreography worked surprisingly well with it.

I thought it was fantastic. Enthralling and beautifully choreographed. Giving 10s despite the wobbles was a bit dodgy, but it deserved 9s at the least (imo). The only thing that annoyed me was that they seemed to think it was the best tango ever danced on Strictly - I didn't think it was anywhere near being in the same league as Zoe and Ian's...

I'm not generally a fan of Rachel, I find her far too insipid and uninspiring as a dancer, but I actually enjoyed this dance - I loved Vincent's choreography, she coped well with some very tricky moves and her frame was beautiful. However there were a couple of slight stumbles (only slight but they were definitely there) and it wasn't quite sharp enough. I'd have given it 4 9's.

Agree with those who say it was not as good as Zoe & Ian's though.

Alesha and Matt's was much better too IMO, can't remember what score they got.

I think it was 38.

Sorry, I think Rachel is probably a very nice girl, but her dancing leaves me cold. I always think of big footsteps on the floor and she is walking on them. Its like dancing by numbers. I just read no emotion from her at all...

Well that was the choreography. There were soft bits and sharp bits - which imo added to its brilliance.

I was utterly mesmerised.

Scores should only be relative to the other scores on the night.

Here is Zoe's Tango. A great performance, but do you notice anything?

Interesting that the non-fans are enjoying it yet I disliked it, and I'm a huge fan of Rachel AND Vincent.

I didn't find it at all passionate. I thought on top of the wobbles she was very soft. Compare the end of the dance to, say, Alesha's - Alesha threw herself sharply into her ending position... Rachel seemed to slowly and languidly float into it. In the waltz, maybe. Tango? No.

I watched it with music and without ( I think that helps in being objective sometimes )..it was excellent. Far superior to Rachel's effort..but that's only my opinion.

That just reassures me that Z&I's tango is one of my favourite dances ever on Strictly... not sure what you're getting at?

I did think R&V's was absolutely brilliant by the way!
