Looking at that list, Jessica Taylor is the one that could be the best skater of that bunch.”
This kind of quote does bother me a bit.
I don't want to sound mean, honestly I don't, but even if this is the final line-up, what did you guys expect? Jude Law, David Beckham or Kate Winslet signing up? Even if this is one of the more respectable reality shows, it's a bit difficult to get good stars for the show. Some people might have scheduling conflicts with other projects, some celebs are poor skaters, and some people just don't like the product. Also some top athletes may not want to participate due to scheduling or risk of injury. You get who you can get, and if it's retired sports people and out of work actors, that's who you can get, and that's what people enjoy. Alot of people like soaps so they get a kick out of seeing some of their favourite people on the show competing. I actually think that this is a respectable line-up, as I can identify many of them. (However I wonder if Metcalfe and Bissix will be competing together, as I read that one was replacing the other)
Besides, don't people watch SCD and DOI for the professionals anyways, and have the celebs be an added bonus?
