Vegetarian Christmas
Does anyone have any new ideas for a vegetarian christmas? We always have one meat option and one vegetarian option for us and a friend (who is a vegetarian).
Anyway last year I made a mushroom wellington (which was phenomenal!) from the uktvfood website but they seem not to have updated the vegetarian options from last year. So I'm looking for a new idea - any suggestions? |

How about Simon Rimmer's vegetarian strudel on caramelised onions in port, or his walnut, stilton and asparagus roullade with a spicy pear chutney ?

If it was good, why not have it again?
Here's some ideas from the Vegetarian Society: http://www.vegsoc.org/cordonvert/recipes/christmas.html And Rose Elliott's Christmas book has some good recipes but I can't find any online, unfortunately. And here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/vegetarian...termenus.shtml |

Yeh I did think about making it again but I don't want him thinking I don't have any new ideas hehehe.
The strudel sounds good - I like things in pastry! And the chestnut and mushroom cabbage parcels....hmmmm.....cheers for the replies! |
