Buying 1080p TV & Blu Rya Advice Please
I currently have a 2nd gen Samsung 32" that is only 720p / 1080i in my living room connect to it is my PS3.
However the PS3 is staying put but am looking for a decent "cheap" 1080p 32/37" TV. I am looking at the one that is been heavily advertised at the mo... http://www.currys.co.uk/martprd/stor...ory_oid=-26749 I aint too bothered about the Blu Ray player as it will be just used in my bedroom but I do want to know if it is a half decent player (will there be any latest disc playing issues? Also the TV itself, what is that like? I know Currys price match so I will get it down to about the £540 Comet are charging (wont buy from Comet as they screwed my mum over and sold a faulty TV and when it finally went some 3-4 weeks after the 12 months they refused to do anything even though the manager advised her some of that model were faulty!) So is the package worth my moolar? cheers in advance |

Went in both Currys and Comet a few days ago to look at 37" LCD's as our old 28" CRT is on the way out.
Aside from the Panasonic Viera models and Pioneers which were all upward of £900, the Pioneer being around £1250, all the models which weren't showing HD looked awful. My dad looked at the Sharp the OP is interested in, and it was the best at that price range by a long way. I know Currys and Comet don't give a damn about setting the TVs up correctly, but I wouldn't touch a 37" LCD when you get a 42" plasma for less money and that will give you a far superior picture. Anyway, when showing HD, most sets are much of a muchness, especially at the smaller screen sizes. |
