Message alert! Austin is not Mr.SCD. When my favourites went out I continued to watch - and my bet is that viewing figures will remain pretty constant.

But Austin danced his highest scored dance - and it wasn't good enough.

By rights his AS should have been fantastic and he could have blown Lisa out of the water with that.

You can't blame the dance for him going out. If he wasn't good enough - he wasn't good enough.

Lisa won on a waltz - notoriously boring dances. A salsa should have been electric. (Matt DA/Ramps anyone?)

If Tom does not get through next week, I'm not sure many people will vote in the final.

Well i'm delighted. The others were sooooo much better, so if they kept him it would be unfair

Precisely - I wanted Austin to win (after Jodie left - I know it was her time) but he was the worse dancer on the night. How many times does this have to be said?

Had it been Austin's waltz vs Lisa's jive/samba (or another weaker dance) would anybody on here be complaining about Austin having the easier dance? I doubt it.

I am not a fan of either of them but I do believe that Austin should have been in the final. Lisa is only still there because she has had weak competition in the dance offs and the judges put her through. Yes, she did dance better than Austin tonight, this has not happened very often. That is why I hate the dance-off, do one good dance and you go through against someone who has danced considerably better than them throughout the competition.

We hear this sort of thing every series from fans of one or or other of the celebrities. Last year Gethin's fans were angry that he didn't make the final, whilst Matt's fans were devastated that he didn't win the competition. I imagine that if Matt had gone out instead of Gethin and perhaps Gethin had beaten Alesha in the final, we'd have heard similar griping from the fans of both Matt and Alesha. We just have to accept that it is a competition and there can only be one winner.

I thought Len's comment tonight that "it is LITERALLY a tragedy that someone has to go out tonight" was ridiculous. A tragedy is when half a family is wiped out in a terrible car accident, as happened to a family from my church a few months ago. Not when some celebrity has to leave a competition/tv show.

It's interesting that a couple of the pro's revealed earlier in the week (Brendan and Vincent I think) that they will be putting all their energy into one dance - I guess both knew it was almost inevitable that their girl would be in the dance off and they really needed to nail one dance perfectly.

Erin (and Austin) on the otherhand, appears to have gone a different route and the result was two mediocre, if competent, dances. Shame cus, as you say, Austin really should have blown us away with the AS; he certainly had it in him to do so.

i have a feeling this week all the couples are just going to focus on one dance aiming to make it perfect in case they're in the dance off and they'll ignore the other dance.
So we'll have 3 rubbish dances next week because of this silly rule by th ejudges

Doubt it - his votes will go elsewhere; sadly perhaps to keep Lisa out.

Whatever - I wasn't sad to see the Leicester Lip go.

I noticed that too. Please regain your sense of perspective Mr Goodman (if you ever had one).

I do think that Tom and Austin have comfortably topped the public vote since "He who mut not be named" withdrew though. And I think that, while you have a point about something like this happening every year and it making little difference, I think the show may suffer if we get a final without both of the most popular celebs.

Three times the public have told SCD they are not supporting Lisa, three times the Judges say she is brilliant.....obvously not the public

Three times in the dance off........what does that tell you.

I prefered Austins entertainment to Lisa tears.

Well Austin was only one of the four with a personality- the rest are dull as ditchwater! I won't be watching anymore. Austin is a great losst o semi & the final!

The public will eventually have their way - that's the name of the game; but at this stage Lisa outdanced Austin - simple as.....

He didn't entertain me one iota - I got fed up of the tiredness, the 'this is so difficult' plea and the lugubrious expression.

I know Austin has twin baby daughters, but Lisa too gets up at 4 am; didn't hear her complaining of lack of sleep.

So how should we vote - on personality or dance ability?

I guess thats the great thing, there is no right way to vote. We all have different reasons hence why some loved John and others hated him.
I personally like a bit of both (personality and dance abilty) but if we all liked the same thing it would be a really boring, predictable show.

The people who wanted JS out because this is a dancing show can't have it all ways.

The best dancers HAVE gone through and it would have actually been idiotic for Austin to have gone through based on his less competant dancers.

(BTW - much preferred Tom's au naturel chest to Austin's waxed muscly one!)

And now Austin's gone we won't have to listen to Tess's simpering, almost sexist remarks about Austin's body.

Lisa has been a poor performer most of the show and has been way over marked. Yes the public will have the last vote but they dont get to say who should be in the final.

thats rubbish.......they are killing the show.

Totally agree. Despite the fact that the majority of people want to watch the other ones, the judges keep her in week after week.

Lisa has now been in the dance off three times.......how many more times do the judges need to be told........she is NOT getting public support.....and hasnt for a while.
