Christ anyone would think it's a competition to see who is the most 'graceful.'

I agree totally nesparoo, the poor kid was devastated for Diana. You only have to watch the xtra factor since the begining to see they are both very close. Ive said it before and il say it again it was cruel leaving them two till last, anyone with a brain knew that he'd be upset and making it a him v her was cruel.

I think Diana's White flag was really good, even me mum said that was the best she has heard her sing, and she doesn't even like Diana's voice, I really enjoyed Diana's performances on Saturday, she went out with her head held high.

Tbh, what was really in his head was: she's gonna go now, an it'll never be the same again. Guess he always knew she was never gonna be his girl, but by christ at that moment we really saw what meant most to him - Diana or getting to the final. Wasn't even close . . .

(PS, Doodles, this is a Diana thread. Course, we don't actually know which one of you this is, since only one of you now remains )

Totally agree when he heard his name he was clearly happy he had got through (shocked aswel it seemed) but you saw the change in him the minute Dermot called them over. It suddenly dawned on him that because he was through it ment Diana wasnt and the poor lad was devastated apologising over and over to her as he hugged her. All the other contestants were upset but if you watch xtra factor they got over it pretty quickly and Eoghan, although when spoken to seemed fine, sat there, while the camera wern't on him, absolutly heartbroken.

LOL at this thread. Why was it at all emotional? Because Eoghan was crying like a 5 year old?

Like u said, the real emotional stuff got started as soon as the pair were last to be named. You see them glance across at each other as both know . . . it's over

I'm pretty confident I'm right on this front - she's got nothing, and I think she could actually have done herself a huge disservice by going on the show as she doesn't come across as particularly articulate or intelligent, so I'm not certain that she's going to find a way to parlay this experience into success and may just become "that girl off the X Factor" who now works on reception in the hotel or something like that... and you never know how that might affect someone who may have thought they were *this* close to snatching the brass ring...

Totally agree. Diana took it so well, was going to come on here on Saturday night and say the same thing. But after seeing all the bitterness from some of her fans I didnt want to join in the playground. which was ashame as they should look up to this girl and follow her fine example.

Well yes I suppose so:watching it last night on itv.com, when it is announced that she is out she turns to Cheryl and says "It's fair". But then who hasn't gone out graciously?

Expressing your thoughts can be expressing horrible and mean spirited ones

You quoted my post below

Expressing your thoughts doesn't have to include implying that I said that Ruth's exit wasn't emotional.
and if you roll your eyes at someone expressing their opinion in a way that wasn't getting at anyone, then you should expect to be called up on it.

Haha! Funniest post I've read in ages. This has very bad, Mills & Boon, TV movie written all over it. Hang your head in shame!

Hey - great to see she's now maintained her dignity and gracefully got rid of the boyfriend who never wavered in his support of her despite the carrying on with Eoghan. Class act, Diana, and yes, more dignified and graceful than most could ever hope to be.
