I'm quite curious about the schoolchild overtones to many threads here with regard to markings and conspiracies. Seems beneath all the overworked byzantine "reasoning" is simply the fear that an authority figure- and the judges do stand-in service for a teacher here- is "playing favourites" and it's "not fair ".
About Lisa specifically I have no idea!

Ooh, I wish. Three couple final. That'd have stopped about 99% of my whinging!

Will my satnav be able to find it? And are Birdies welcome??

Not to mention the entire population of Holby City voting for him. They all want free pigs' kidneys without having to go on the waiting list!

Just turn left at the second star to the right- Planet Sid is straight ahead - you can't miss it.

If you know the Birdie song - you'll gain automatic entry.

Neither one nor the other is acceptable.

It may be a cliché, but 2 wrongs don't make a right.

Ahhh, but the point is, is this is an open forum, where people are allowed to express their opinions. The OP has an issue with nasty threads, but only when it concerns her chosen couple - not when it is about the couple she has decided not to like.

Now, my take on this is, you live by the sword, you die by it - not that you get to pick and choose.

Rather like my problem with Lisa and Brendan complaining about overmarking on ITT today - they didn't seem to mind so much when it worked for them.

That of course is subjective.

But as people keep conveniently forgetting, Brendan has on three separate occasions said that he and Lisa were overmarked. We moan about him being too brutal with his comments but at least he's fair.

Yep, it is. As is any op that other FM's may find "nasty" because it concerns "their" pro and whatever perfect partner they subjectively feel he has - that does not stop some complaining about other fm's subjective posts, though, does it?

You said it. We are only ever outraged when it’s our favorites that are getting the negative remarks. When it’s the ones we dislike getting it, only then” it’s freedom of speech”, of course.

Actually I don't feel like that at all.

All pros and celebs should accept constructive criticism and fair marking - but no one should be subjected to spite and humiliation - especially as a result of someone attempting (and usually failing) to be clever at the expense of another: this applies to both judges and posters.

I was not talking about you at all. Just making general observation that I have noticed around the forum lately.

It's natural thing to agree with those who support your argument and silence those with critical views on our favourites.

But don't you think your taking things Seriously who has been subjected to spite and humiliation. This is a reality show we are talking about after all.

Personally I believe everyone should be allowed to express any views that they like based on the show whether harsh or adoring but treat each other as forum members with respect.

When you said 'we are outgraged' etc. you were making a generalistion - I was simply pointing out that I am not one who shares your views.

Actually no I'm not taking it too seriously at all - I reserve that description for those who are screaming UNFAIR because Austin has gone and Lisa remains. None of the remaining contestants fit into my 'favourites' category - so I can speak with impartiality.

Surely you can see the spite in such epithets as fake, bland, smug, arrogant etc. ?

Surely you can see the humiliation of non constructive criticism such as stick insect on acid, geek etc.

If you can't then we clearly hold different views, different values. I'll stick with mine - just as I'm sure you'll stick with yours.

That is horrible thing to say and in no way I'm defending people who make such nasty comments. Luckily I have not come across people who express such views.

The issue of the outrage of Austin leaving does not surprise me at all. You see those types of things every year when a well liked contestant leaves the show.

I’m sure Austin supports thought he would win the show and his leaving most has been a real shock. However if people have made those nasty comments about Lisa than surely they are pathetic sore losers. I find that outrages but sense I have not been here much over the past couple of weeks I can’t comment on that.

What I object to, is forum members being called names for having views that the majority might not share. For example I disliked Austin Healy, I found him arrogant and when he got knocked out of the competition this weekend it was the best possible results.

Now that is my opinion and imagine I made a thread expressing such views. You know what would happen. I would probably get a lot of Austin supporters calling me all kind of names for even daring to have and express different views than their own. The same goes if I was talking about any other popular Celeb.

If I said the worst thing possible about Dominic Littlewood nobody would say a thing, in fact most people would probably support me.

Until recently you could not even make constructive criticism without army of people saying why is there need to make negative comments about the people on the show while at the same time being extremely rude to forum members. Ow the irony.
