And at this point it was always going to be who had the better mus...er dance that would continue through to the final.

My personal feeling is that the combo of the 'easier' dance plus the perfect backing music was what got Lisa through. Austins's worse was still better than her Jive.
Unfortunately Austin's dance whilst high quality, simply wasn't suitable.
