It came to an end on Saturday as far as I'm concerned.

Can't believe Diana, Ruth, Laura and Austin - the 4 most talented have all left before the final.

Wow I totally agree. Those 4 were my faves!

Good Lord no, not sure why I still watch it. Probably so I know what all the griping and complaining is about on here.

I suppose I'm happy for it to end now. The final seems to have lost something for me. Given what I thought we had at the start of the live shows, I'm mightily underwhelmed by the fairly bland finalists we have lined up this year.

And it's not just Diana going, although that may have shone a light upon the dullness of the rest.

Yeah im abit sad that its all coming to an end but at leats 4 me we have a potential superstar in Alex! I hope they bring her record out early summer, something nice and up-beat. That would avoid clashing with Leona on both counts.

Plus, like you say Celeb BB is on so its not completly dull tv.

It has just enough steam left to run until next week then it will have run its course and not before time.

I will miss coming on here and moaning about the acts though!

Good question. In one way yes as Ive been watching it since August all the way through and was very hopeful for a brilliant final 5 (Alex, Laura, Ruth, Diana before her illness, Austin) but with the way the public have been voting then no, as its been one big let down and with eggnog going to win it, its become a laughing stock

Not really sad. It has been a disappointing XFactor this year.
There have been some poor choices by the mentors for their final 3s. Cheryl Cole got it wrong in not picking Hannah and Simon has not been as honest as usual, well he can't really with emotional young Eoghan can he?
There is still a lot of singing flat by JLS and Eoghan and the judges are letting it go unnoticed. The themes have been very disappointing too.
Alexandra is the best of the final 3 but I don't care who wins. They just don't have the X Factor.
I don't mind if the boyband wins because they must have a lot of fans who will buy their records if they are still rembered after disappearing for the winner's year.
Oh well.
The highlight for me was when Rhydian came back and sang.

I have enjoyed X factor this year, and have backed Alex since the start, so I really hope that she wins as I think she truly deserves to

Don't worry because I'll be counting down my top singles of 2008 on DS with lots of youtube links so you'll actually be able to get to see some REAL talent instead...

And if you can manage to dig out last year's topic you might notice one of the artists I introduced you to was Katy Perry (doing Ur So Gay).

I'm sad in as much as I won't have anything to watch on a Saturday for a while but this year has been rubbish since week 5 so I'm not that sad.

I'm glad these shows are finishing a bit earlier this year. I might get Christmas cards written and sent off

It sort of ended to a large degree for me when Ruth left. I'll watch the final but am glad it'll be over this week. Hopefully we'll get a great show to finish off.

It's been a sort of habit for the past few months.......looking forward to the weekend coming and the X factor too but I can honestly say that I couldn't care less anymore. This show has become far too predictable.

Plus the 2009 tennis season starts on January 5th so I'll get over this poor series rather quickly

One more week and, unfortunately, I'm away Saturday night so won't be able to watch the recording until Sunday night. By then I'll know who's won because it will be in the newspapers and on the radio and tv.

Then it'll be Christmas, then on to American Idol.

It's all go isn't it.

Since it has been the only programme I've watched for the last however many weeks I'm seriously thinking of getting rid of my television and saving on the license fee which is due in January. Unfortunately that coincides with CBB.

Series 2 ended for me when Chico and Brenda went in consecutive weeks.

For me Chico provided the entertainment while Brenda was the great singer.

The final was rubbish.
