Is 5ft 10in classed as short and squat? I think people may only think Austin short because he is usually surrounded by ginormous rugby players. Remember Erin is one of the taller professional girl dancers.

I have no problem with the ladies, but hey in that case, get them to take their dress off and see if that is acceptable

Say more about them? Maybe, but it's probably not what YOU think. ”

Austin was constantly either flashing his arms or his chest throughout the whole series

The reduction in garments minimises aerodynamic drag, just as a tiny swimming trunk in the Olympics creates minimum underwater drag. Any woman wearing voluminous ballroom gown will find it physically impossible to perform superfast latin spins.

Austin was merely demonstrating his dedication to dance. When Tess nearly boiled over at the prospect of Mark dancing in a lilac swimsuit she was merely showing her enthusiasm for maximal motion with minimal encumbrance.

Much misunderstood Tess.

If you go to any park on a summer's day you will see a lot more than you saw on SCD on Saturday. To constantly compare Austin taking his shirt off to women going topless is silly.

If your moral sensibilities are so outraged, I suggest you complain to the BBC. I would love to see their reply! When they have stopped laughing long enough to reply that is!

That's exactly it! The show and the DS SCD board are becoming unforgivably tacky, lowest-common-denominator (with the emphasis on 'common' )

There are others who feel like I do. Why is it in your opinion so different? Women go topless on the beach after all...

Oh, dear me, I forgot, the women were dressed in sacks with only the whites of their eyes showing.

I can't believe how petty some people are being on here, it seems to be any chance that can be taken to have a go at Austin, some people grab it with both hands.

I am starting to find this obsessive dislike of Austin's perfectly normal male flesh rather sad and disturbing. He took his shirt off. The world didn't end. There weren't any cataclysmic lighting flashes from on high. Sheeesh - even Mary Whitehouse wasn't this bad!

On "Loose Women" today Austin said James Jordan bet him that he wouldn't take his shirt off when he got voted off, it was all a bit of fun, but his wife was in the audience and she told Austin to put it back on.
