It is "Boo to a Goose"

And Yes , I do think that the number of outrageously unpleasant posts has increased both last year and this year .Whether intentionally unpleasant is debateable though I would be sure some are and fro the reason above : where better ?

I also think the number of comments about physical appearance have increased , Such as so and so is fat . Someone posted at the start of the run , in the KH thread about how fat and ugly she was and the poster declared herself to be much slimmer and so was able to judge . Having seen Karen, Lilia ,and Nicole close up and Flavia and Erin from more of a distance , a few weeks ago , they are all decidedly trim ! size 8 at the most . Karen is tiny in every way , not an ounce spare anywhere .

I just hope the overflow from the beeb doesn't wash this way too often.
In reference to my earlier posts - quite.

I just popped over there for a look and on the first page the top thread was yet another new thread titled 'Is Lisa Fake?' there was also a thread about Tom's stupid faces and Rachel's cha cha cha being dull. All in the first few threads.

I logged off straight away!

I've seen threads with those titles on here - so clearly the invasion has already begun.

For the most part, though, I find this a pretty civilised place and there are enough reasonable and witty voices (sid1979, TheHistoryGirl, SCD-Observer and your good self, to name but a few) to keep me coming back.
Come back for seconds anytime you like Johnster

I hope not, I really do. This board is supposed to be my safe haven.

I started out on the mean streets of "Yahoo"..makes this seem like a Sunday afternoon stroll around Tunbridge Wells.

The atmosphere in here is changing a bit.

I put it down to a combination of SCD having a bigger profile than it used to have (blame Garroway's persistence and the Flavia & Matt & Vincent stuff from last year for that) and the lack of any truly spectacular celeb dancers this year (good ballroom, but the latin is meh) = people more interested in personality stuff instead of dancing = people being more annoyed when their favourite gets booted.

I don't think any of the final four were bad dancers, but none of them have rocked my boat in the way that some previous contestants have either.

This year there are more threads than ever, but some are very bitchy comments but I blame the judges

I think that's the point, most of these keyboard warriors wouldn't say boo to a ghost in real life!
That millie, is absolutely true!

And I have proved it. Some years ago I met up with some posters from a business forum and discovered a bunch of beige wusses.

Happily some were not like that, and are still contacts of mine several years later.

It's not just you, maltipom, I've noticed it too. For the most part, though, I find this a pretty civilised place and there are enough reasonable and witty voices (sid1979, TheHistoryGirl, SCD-Observer and your good self, to name but a few) to keep me coming back.

Oh, John, coming from someone who always manages to be extremely witty without ever being cruel, that is praise indeed!

Talking of which, are we likely to get a musing on this week's performances? I can think of nothing better to lighten the atmosphere, if you have the time/inclination...

Capes and stilettos at the ready; capes to distract the infidels and stilettos to gauge their eyes out - then comes the boiling oil.

DS v BBC; bring it on.

Can I just hazard a guess that also other forums that have had troll problems (and I mean you channel4 and not recently) only opens 8 till 12pm, bops you for most links and you cannot mention link or post youtube or indeed DS itself, so join onto here.

I also am a member of the beeb forums but I agree apart from 2 threads I rarely talk in there (And the Knights of Boag people will be disconsolate, I must pay my respects)
Not all are horrid there are some cool ones on there. but I like DS a lot

TTTooooooo many REALLY dull threads!!! Spitefull, or stupid, or repetitive.

There are good threads for criticism, and there are good threads for fans. Use 'em!!!!

I blame the crappy weather and the credit crunch. Even the judges are doing it - Len's been horrid this series. Everyone's got a gob on!
