Hi All
I have a panasonic th-42px8b (6 mths old) , and now when i press the guide button (freeview) it freezes for a second and then goes back to the picture i was watching , i telephoned currys "what happens next" and was told its a fault due to an upgrade in the freeview software and panasonic are working on it .
Problem is i have 2 panasonics 1 plasma and other (14 mths old LCD 32 inch) that does not suffer from this problem.

Has any one had this problem if so can you let me know have you been told the same thing.

If the set is six months old, then get back on to the retailer, if they are saying it's a design fault get them to replace it with a different working set, or refund you the money. Panasonic struggling with updating the software isn't your problem, it's the retailers problem - THEY should sort it out.

Not a panasonic issue. This is a problem that cropped up over the weekend, as far as Panasonic ar aware it is a transmission issue. They will issue an update if they are at fault.
As the problem in our area disappeared this afternoo I would assuem that it was a transmission issue as a software update would have taken much longer to complete and broadcast thatn 5-6 hours notice. We have had notice of the problem in our area, Panasonics service in bracknell and in peterborough. All happened at approx the same time.

My tv was left on standby last night and all was ok this morning , so it looks like it was a download freeview problem and not the tv (phew) .
Thanks for all your replies .
