Looks like they are going to bite the dust as well as Leon Jackson. That is a shocking result for them. They opened up at 13 last week.

Never did like them two. They're just too cheesy.

The only ones who would maybe like them would be young kids

They just aren't that good or popular.

You can only ride on the X factor wave for so long until utter mediocrity shines through, as was also the case with Leon,Steve etc.

They really should have released an album and toured before now......I think they would have sold far more if that had been the case.

As much as I love them, there's no room for music like this anymore.

To be fair their single sales to get to No 13 would have seen them Top 5 many other weeks of the year - same is probably even more true of their album because everyone and their dog seems to release an album in the run-up to Christmas...

Can't say I'm not disappointed by the chart placings, but I think we should wait and see what the next single does. I think the album will be going in a fair few Xmas stockings too (sorry to spoil the surprise Mum!)

totally agree with ya!

their album came in at no 22 this week BUT looking at the actual sales, they sold 32,000 (and will increase quite a lot in the next few weeks)- which any other week apart from the run up to xmas (and all the distribution malarky) would have been a top 5 position! this is the same with their single- if it had of been released any other week they would have had a top 10- probably 5! so everyone saying there gunna flop like leon, i wouldnt be too sure about that just yet-just wait until their second single and then we will see (and i will happily come on here and say i was wrong in a few months if they do do a leon) I think they only sold a little less in their first week than leon- and he actually won!

just using this as an example- this is from a few weeks back
album sales
01 Oasis 200,866
02 Kings Of Leon 66,362
03 Will Young 32,908
04 Rihanna 26,292
05 James Morrisson 21,025

now do you really think sd's sales were that bad? lol

Am not putting them down but would they have sold as much if they weren't released in the Xmas boom period - most new release albums sell better one only needs to look at the sales this week and last to see that.

na i understand what ya mean and i wasnt having a go in anyway, i just wanted to put a few points across, and who knows if they would have sold as much...but the record label chose to release it now- and in the long run it was probs the best thing for sd but who knows- only time will tell lol

I didn't take it that you were having a go I do think you are right though it was most definately a good release date.

I thought they would do much better off the back of re-appearing on the X Factor. They're unlikely to have that big exposure again so makes you wonder how low future releases will chart as you can't see them picking up much airplay on the major radio stations or music channels.

I never did like them so hey ho.

They were hit with supply problems from the beginning of the week, I can remember reading that people were complaining that shops did not have the album in stock. I don't know how extensive the problem was though.
And it still isn't resolved.

They need to be on a TV show or something. How are their target audience (young children) hearing their songs?

Besides, the uber-cheesy pop kind of went out with Steps in 2001.. it's more electro pop now than anything...
