I went to the JLS concert in Croydon today & it was absolute mayhem, i arrived at around half 2 and there was already hundreds of people infront of me in the queue with hundreds turning up, and once all the children got out of school they were all pushing infront.. it was sooo badly organised & then everyone started pushing, people were being crushed and were on the floor and being trampled over. It was literally a brawl, police and ambulance were called and this was all before JLS had even got there! I didnt even get to get inside the building as everyone who had pushed forward (who hadnt even queued) had got inside! I am sooo angry and upset that I didnt get in, it was really badly organised.. I left before JLS had even arrived as it was too dangerous! Such a shame But im just lucky to not be injured!!!

Well, I saw pictures and it looks like Alex had a red carpet homecoming with bar gates to keep the crowd back and organized like they do in premiers. I can just remember seeing Eggy coming out of a helicopter lol.

I can't believe they gave people the impression tickets weren't needed.

I actually feel sorry for people who got there early, only to be told they needed tickets.

Awww

Where are pictures? The barriers were pushed down at the JLS one ! Even before they got there so I dread to think what it was like when they arrived!

Wow - that sounds terrible but thankfully all injuries were minor according to the report.

They perhaps didn't expect such a stampede! Good to hear they had sold 1700 tickets by 2pm!

The flyers saying it was free didn't help either as this is what caused the schoolies to push through but they only allowed in those with a ticket.

Pleased to hear you are alright though! It can't have been a pleasant experience. I went to Monsters of Rock at Donnington where two people were crushed to death and that year, I was nearly one of them.

I will never forget the feeling of being crushed and unable to breath, and facing death - the ones that died where only a handful of rows in front of me - it was very very scarey and I honestly though I would lose my life.

Gawd. I honestly feel lucky to be alive, I know that sounds like an over reaction but you dont realise how mad it was, I could have lifted my feet up off the floor and still be standing i was that squashed. Im suprised no one was seriously injured there was people being carried out of the building in stretchers!!

I cant believe all the tickets were given out at 2pm I arrived at half past and they said that we would get in!

Aww. Sorry to hear that.

I'm sure you will still get a chance to see them perform.

Well I am glad you are not injured, sounds like a bit of a disaster. I am stunned so many people turned out on such a cold day to listen to these four dullard's reedy offerings, but good on you for showing your support.

Im not surprised they delayed them arriving as people would have actually pushed down the barriers again to get to them.. they were like animals!!

I don't watch X-Factor but I saw some of what was going on. Came off the train at East Croydon at around 6.30,walked down and turned towards Fairfield to get my bus, heard a load of screaming and saw a big crowd gathered outside,as well as an ambulance, asked someone who was playing and what was going on.

Even without any gigs, just after school time is always scary in Cryodon
