I know Alex is very polished but how many big female vocalists do we need?

X-Factor should be about finding something a bit different and giving them a chance

JLS always put in 100%, they have adapted to a new style (a lead singer) with no complaints and seem lovely lads

I actually think JLS have alot of momentum at the moment and are peaking at the right time.

If JLS can get into the top 2 - they will win. Its just getting into the top 2 thats the problem.

They are not out of the running - far from it:

"punters want to be with JLS...."

They appear to be gaining more and more support.

I think they could win it? I'd personally like them to come 2nd (to Alex!!).

As someone else said they seem to be peaking at just about the right time?? Their semi final performance was the first time I thought they were amazing - and I reckon they could surprise people.

Also look at their fan base - 5,000 people turning up for 200 tickets and that is just in London?? If these fans all vote they really could win... in fact thinking about it maybe Alex will come third...

Our household are all 'JLS for the win now'

To be honest though I just watch the show for entertainment purposes only and will miss Diana this Saturday, but not as much as I have missed Rhydian & SD from not being on the show every week this year.

I did say 'seem to be'

there are stories in the papers about Alex and Eggnog all the time, after all any publicity is good publicity

even on DS there are more threads relating to A or E than JLS

How many more boy bands do we need, you could equally say. I'd like Alex to win but JLS to win, if she doesn't. Even the thought of Eoghan crucifying 'Hallelujah' makes me wince, let alone anything else. But, yes, we have female singers and male vocal groups but no teenage boys who can't sing that well so perhaps that should be the criteria (going with the 'Alex is just another female singer' vibe).

I love JLS and hope they win but I do think they are going in as the underdogs, Alex's big voice is what people think is the winning sound, Eughan has the teen vote, plus the whole of Ireland and also now probably a lot of Diana fans.

I hope the boys do a big dance song, that is where their entertainment really is, and I liked their ballad last week as well, the winners song is not their style at all and that won't help.

I expect Simon will play his mind games and hail them as possible winners in order to push Alex fans into voting more, he has done that many times.

As long as JLS and Alex are in the top 2, I don't mind the outcome. Both acts would deserve to win.

JLS are about the only finalist that will stop me supporting the "RickRoll" Campaign to get Rick Astley to Number One for Christmas and stop Cowell!

They've been mediocre and unnoticeable up until this point, but now that they're in the final everyone's turning around talking about how "underrated" they are saying they should win.

If they'd gone out in Week 4 or something I doubt anyone would have cared/noticed.

I agree. I was having this discussion at college today and a lot of people who wanted JLS to win said that they thought they weren't as good as other people think.

They'll win though but I don't feel they deserve to as they're a vocal harmony group and these guys are terrible at harmonising.

Marvin can't even sing in tune on his own, let alone harmonising with three other people.

JB could lip-sync week-in/week-out for all the difference it makes.

JLS's problem is that their Mentor plays the grumpy role, which is a vote repellant. People will vote in protest against Louis. A pity really.

But Cheryl is hardly a popular judge, looking at some of the threads on here about her. Could go against Alex.

I don't think they are out of the running, far from it, but how many boybands do we need?

JLS are far more polished than Alexandra, logically being more experienced.

I think all the acts will say they put in 100%. If not, why did they bother?

Having a lead singer is adapting to a new style, is it? All groups have one or two who take the lead, it's nothing new.

To be fair, the three finalists are the ones who the judges and everyone involved with the show have never had a bad word to say of in terms of them as people. Lovely lads? There's no reason to suspect otherwise but I do wish they hadn't milked the ill mother and other sob stories.

They are an adequate group but far from the best group ever on the series and for that reason alone it would be a travesty if they won.
