How Tom & Camilla Can Get A Win

I've been trying to do the math, and I think i've worked out how Tom and Camilla can win this.

Basically, it seems that of the three couples in the competition, they are the most popular considering Lisa and Rachel's constant appearence in the Bottom two - often from good positions.

As a result, I believe that Tom needs to finish second in this weeks leaderboard to make it to the final. I would think this would give him a total of 5 points, with a predicted 3 from the public making him unbeatable. I personally think that Rachel is more popular than Lisa, so she could get a maximum of 5 from this scenario, but I hear that public vote is more important allowing Tom to go into the final by this route. Rachel would obviously then win the dance off, making it her and Tom in the final.

Tom would then seemingly beat Rachel in the final.

So in conclusion, Tom needs second place at least this week!

(Alternatly, he could come last, and as long as the leaderboard flips itself with the public, he goes through as well.)

Or, and this is just a crazy suggestion, he could dance damned well.

According to one of the leaks on a thread - Lisa is more popular than Rachel with the public.

Well yes, but all im saying is that he needs to be second and he would prolly win regardless. Unless ofc something silly happens and he trips Camilla into the audience, I dont think he'd win then..

He could also get to the final by being bottom of the leaderboard but it would mean Rachel has to be top.

Tom 1 + 3
Lisa 2 + 2
Rachel 3 + 1

All level but Tom goes through via the public`s voting.

Oh if thats the case then things could change a lot! I somehow foresee the leaderboard being Rachel, Tom, Lisa, so I guess in theory Tom could afford to slip to the bottom under Lisa because then they would all be equal on 5 points and he would go through on the public vote.

I have just done the math and with the info from that other thread taken into account the only way Tom will be in the dance-off is when Lisa tops the leader board with Rachel 2nd and Tom 3rd.
Otherwise it'll be a Lisa v Rachel dance-off, no matter where they are on the leaderboard.

Thats if...

1. you believe that those 'leaked' placings are true, if he has an insider friend at the BBC why have we never seen any 'leaks' before ??? If they were that easily obtained we would know every week in the newspapers dont you think.

2. you believe the vote stays the same every week, there are a lot of floating voters out there, many who dont vote until towards the end and after each elimination
another bunch of voters decide who they will support from now on.

I do agree though that Tom needs to keep out of the bottom slot where he would be vulnerable. Ofcourse the judges could put Rachel and Lisa equal at the top and then Tom couldnt avoid the dance off no matter which one of Rachel/Lisa is more popular...just at thought judges.

Much as I like Tom he will be in bottom slot this week. I think the others will crucify him in the AT and they will all be similar in the Hustle. It can look like a naff disco dance if not done properly. Even Brian and Kristinas effort looked 'outdated' because that is exactly what it is - cheesy! I think it will be a hard one for a celebrity boy to pass off.

Although, TBF, everyone thought Austin would crucify the others with his American Smooth and look what happened there! So we can only wait and see.

They are not doing the hustle they are doing the Argentine Tango plus one of the dances they have done before but with different music and a different routine.

Lisa is doing the Quckstep again dont know about the others.

Brendan going with teh safe option again. Go for a 39/40 quickstep and do that again in the dance off.

You know the competition has gone on too long when they start repeating dances before the final!

What a pointless thread. Tom has already won. All he needs to on Saturday is turn up and the public will vote in droves!

Tom & Camilla not playing safe with a 33 scoring Jive - but don't you just love them for it

As Austin said on Loose Women, Tom doesn't take himself too seriously. I just think it sums up his attitude - light up the crowd!

Not a crazy suggestion at all, you are absolutely right. Plus a lot of people have to vote for him!

Actually I think Rachel is far more secure of a place in the final - I very much doubt the judges will vote her off even if she is in the dance off. Tom, on the other hand, could end up in the dance off if he is bottom of the leaderboard (very possible), and once there, is most likely to be voted off by the judges.

It's all still to play for.

In the final, is it just the public vote that counts? If Tom makes it to the final, then I'm pretty sure he has the title locked up.

The judges vote and the following points are allocated:

Person A: 2
Person B: 1

Then the public votes and whichever person gets more public votes gets 2 points and the other 1 point.

Scenario 1

Person A: 2 + 1 = 3
Person B: 1 + 2 = 3

or

Scenario 2

Person A: 2 + 2 = 4
Person B: 1 + 1 = 2

Therefore, Person B could still win as in Sceanrio 1 as public vote is the decider if they are both tied for 3 points.

In a 2 person final, only the public vote counts, as the judges vote is meaningless. This was introduced last year.

Thank you for explaining it.

In Series 3, did Zoe come top of the judges' leaderboard but still finish 3rd? I can't quite remember.
