This is the most ridiculous statement that Louis has ever made. Since when you can´t be friendly with people that don´t get on together? Don´t be with them at the same time!!!! It can´t be that difficult since Sharon is in LA, for goodness sake!

I like Louis and I love Sharon, but sometimes Louis talks a load of rubbish. We've all got friends who don't get on with each other, you just don't see them at the same time! It's not rocket science for goodness sake.

There's another interview with Louis in some sort of PR blurb for the hotel he stays in in London where he speaks very warmly of Cheryl.

I suspect that it must have been a bit difficult last year on the X Factor when Dannii was the new girl and not getting on with Sharon. Men tend to be pretty rubbish at dealing with that sort of girly feuding and he may well feel that he has to take sides and he's not going to give up a long standing friendship with Sharon.

Yes, indeed. This is a Heat interview, which will have had very leading questions, and then his answers are edited, neither of which you get to see.

for example, for this answer:

"Sharon is a great friend and perhaps I couldn’t be friends with both of them."

He was probably asked:

"You are great friends with Sharon Louis, do you think it is possible to be great friends of both Sharon and Dannii?"

To which he replies..

"[Yes,]I am great friends with Sharon. Perhaps I couldn't be friends with both of them [on the same level because I haven't known Dannii personally as long as Sharon..]."
