Hi,

I am thinking about purchasing an IO Play for my car

I currently have an adapter for Ipod that allows me to link my ipod to car stereo and have also previously used I-Trips, I was not particularly happy with either

Does anybody have any experience of using an IO Play, i presume that i could transfer some music onto my phone (N95 8GB) and the auto blue-tooth link will do the rest

If the blurb is to be believed this will solve my music and hands-free phone use in the car problems in one go

Is it true???

thanks guys

I don't have any experience, in fact I only found out it existed from another forum about an hour ago but a quick look at some iOPlay forums yields mixed views...there may be some teething problems - sound drop outs, poor sound quality .

I need to find out more about this as it may be better than fitting a Parrot Mki9000 series

thanks for that

i was worried about the sound drop out, i did pop into my local Halfords where i was assured there was no sound drop out!!!!!!!

It does say that the sound is good in nearly all of the reviews i have read

Dont know if you got one in the end Player, but i am very happy with mine, the phone part is excellent and the music capability is very good if a little quiet for those that like everyone in the area to be ale to hear their music

Thanks Squinting...I haven't got one yet ...the mixed freviews were putting me off...I got the new car but don't as yet have a "hands-free" installed so I need to get one...unless Parrot have a new offering coming along I think I am inclined to get an IO Play

It looks good, but was put off by the extortionate price. At the moment we have a Toyota Avensis with the iPod adapter kit plus the Bluetooth pack. The iPhone plays through the iPod adaptor and then I can take calls through the bluetooth using the steering controls. The only problem is that I can't call people using the iPhone itself I have to pre-program voice dialing.

There are a lot of head-units now that come with bluetooth. With an iPod adaptor it should work similar to the system I have got in the Toyota, that is if the iPhone bluetooth plays nicely with the head-unit, which is hit and miss.
