I'm looking for a decent pair of dj style headphones (the over-head ones with the padding on the ears.

I know that sennheisers are usually the brand to go for, but was looking at a pair of skullcandy lowriders on play.com which look decent.

my question is, what brand would you recommend, sennheisers or skullcandy or something else?

skullcandy headphones i'm looking at link to play

sennheisers headphones, not sure of which set.

for any other recommendations, I have a budget of around £20.

Thanks in advance

Give these a try, Sennheiser EH150. Only 15 quid but excellent value.

And ignore the one star review. They sound very good, by no means all treble and no bass.

If you can streth the wallet to 30 quid then the EH250's are well worth a listen.

the oh has bought me the skullcandy ones. I did look at the sennheisers but couldn't make my mind up on a pair so she took the decision and ordered them.

I am very indecisive at times, and would still be sat her this time next year trying to decide which headphones to buy. I am the same with mobile phones (it took me near enough 12 months to find a new handset that I liked and did what I wanted it to do - althougn I was trying to replace the SE K810i).

I do like using my sony earbuds, especially the free noise cancelling ones i got with my mp3 player last year. I just want a pair of over ear ones for general wear, and for the winter periods to keep my ears warm when i'm taking the babies out of walks.

I will see what the skullcandy ones are like and if they are cack, they will go back for something else - the oh has bought herself a pair of SC's, so will try hers before opening my ones. (xmas present so wont be until xmas day)

Whoa, am I mad for getting these?

These really are the dog's balls.

I would definately go for Sennheisers, never heard Skullcandy. Also, Sennheiser give free replacement pads when existing ones wear out

i would say yeah you are a bit mad for spending over £100 for headphones. From what I have read, SC offer a lifetime guarantee, so if they break (no sound out of headphones or whatever) they offer a replacement set -

again from what i have read, they also offer a 50% refund/replacement if the damage is caused by the wearer (cant see how this works but hey, i read it somewhere)

My Technics RP-DJ1200's have lasted for eight years now and show no signs of stopping. Really well built, adjustable for each ear and superb sound quality. I might get a set of the RP-DH1200's eventually though, they are just such a good looking pair of headphones!!!

I found a pair of the DH's for £74.15- bargain if you're willing to spend that much. You can even detach the cord if it was ever to get mangled or stop working and just buy a replacement. Saying that though, I've never had a problem with the cable on my DJ's. http://www.buylowest.co.uk/products/...-258241-0.html
