Who's choosing the dances to re-do?
Lorelei Lee
09-12-2008
The feeling I'm getting from other threads is that people are assuming the pro is choosing which dances to rehash - but surely the celeb should be allowed some say in what they do and don't want to repeat?

So who's picking the semi-final and final dances? Is it one, t'other or a combination of both?

No idea.

It seems crazy that Lisa gets one of her best and Tom gets to do one of his worse dances score wise.

I would think Camilla would know better by now which makes me think maybe they had a choice from three and they never offered Tom a QS or AS.

I'm glad she's won you over mate I also enjoyed her Salsa - the slow sensual start, then finishing with a flurry!

LL,

I think this is the first occasion that the couples are re-doing dances at the semi final stage.

Her samba scored lower but considering tom & lisa's lowest scor was week 1 maybe they will all do week 1
I hope so that salsa was class
Maybe we'll find out by L&B tonight

Does anyone actually know who chose the dances and why? I'd have thought it would make far more sense and be fairer to at least have them all doing a ballroom dance as well as the AT ?

Or doing their lowest scoring dance to see how much they've improved.

In series one I seem to remember Natasha wanted to redo her Foxtrot because she loved it but Brendan over-ruled her and they redid the Quickstep instead.

I would have thought the celebs should have input because making them do a dance they didn't enjoy again probably isn't the best way to get their enthusiasm going but I don't know how the dances are chosen

I can't understand why Tom's doing the jive ?

The celebs want to win, right? I am right in assuming that aren't I?

Therefore they'll do what they think will help win - and that generally will be to follow what their professional partner recommends.

I really can't see it as being an issue.

Have I missed something? I thought they were doing the Argentine Tango and the Hustle this week, or do they have to do another dance from earlier in the series?
