Hi,i have a DTR80 freeview recorder that has suddenly lost bbc1 & 2,all others o.k.the signal strength on bbc1 is low but i thought with digital you either got a picture or you got nowt?.It's fed from my main roof aerial which has looked solid for years with no high winds recently,is the signal strength the problem then?thanks Phil.

Signal strength of low is probably going to give intermittent results. Have you tried an ariel booster? £8 from Argos.

What version of software is in your DTR80? (v2.7 is current).

If you know the RF number of the BBC MUX you could try repeatedly performing a manual scan for channels on that frequency - you might get lucky after a few attempts.

In any event, you probably will not get good results until your ariel reception is improved, either with a new ariel or a booster.
