Exactly, surprised Brendan didnt complain then also.

Because an experienced judge like Len, who has been dancing for decades, can decipher whether a dancer's footwork is in order simply by the way their body rises and falls - as he clearly stated after Rachel's Waltz.

I think the point Sid is trying to make is that Brendan didn't react when those things were being said, so why react when Austin and Erin's dance was overmarked. If the judges need to be consistent than so should Brendan is basically the point (I'm guessing).

I'm hoping we can just all agree to disagree and move on. Let this thread die a painless death on the nether pages.

probably because he has held his tongue before & a semi-final place was at risk

I think so too, I was just trying to see the situation from Sid's side

Just because someone has been overmarked in past weeks, it doesn't make it ok for future weeks. Its wrong at any time!

Brendan wants all dances to be marked correctly - whats wrong with that?

Thats what I'm hoping too but I fear it may rumble on for a while

I don't know if it was Len,in fact it may have been Arlene but I recall in series 3 were the judges had a go at Karen for wearing too long a dress in the tango I think which masked both her feet and more importantly Bill's.Ok I'm not saying that Bills footwork compares to Rachel's in any way but quite a big issue was made of it at the time ( I don't have tapes of it so I can't recall verbatum)

Len's thrown his years of judging out of the window if everything he sees is worth at least a 7.

Well if I was playing devil's advocate, I'd say it was more likely that he didn't comment on inconsistent marking that night because he and Lisa were comfortably on top of the leaderboard and therefore unaffected by any possible overmarking of others.

But I wouldn't do that...

Nothing if it were as simple and honest as that. It just so happens he choses to have a strop the week when he feels he is in danger of going home and ignores overmarking when he ends up at the top of the leaderboard. Nothing honest in that.

Even IF Brendan had a point about inconsistent standards being applied to the dancers, he managed to make it in a deeply ungracious manner which appeared to cast aspersions on his fellow competitors.

That is what riled me, and many others by the look of it. His sulkiness and bad temper compares very badly with Austin's sportsmanlike behaviour. Brendan has taken part in many competitions; frankly, he should know better.

And Madame Lisa, simpering away beside him did herself no favours at all. She appears to have very little self awareness of how she comes across to others, which is surprising given her background, and leads me to believe even more strongly that she is quite conceited.

Well said. Brendan is a bad sport, always has been and is extremely ungracious. I am sick to death of this Dancing Diva throwing strops, temper tantrums and behaving like a kid whose had his favourite toy taken away. The word diddums springs to mind. He is extremely professional, infantile and petulant. Madam Lisa weeps crocodile tears when a celeb has to leave the competition - completely and utterly fake. She whinges saying the public don't like her and how hard it is for her. Well pass me the Kleenex. She comes across as incredibly needy and needing constant praise but actually I think it is all for the camera. I agree with Mocha - she does appear to be extremely vain and conceited. She appears to be extremely manipulative and will do anything for fame. The first we ever heard of her was that she slept with George Clooney - says it all really.

Brendan and James Jordan should not have their contracts renewed. I am sure there are many talented dancers who would love the chance to appear on the programme and maybe they should have their chance because, at the end of the day, they are far more deserving than The Gruesome Twosome.

This part of your post is as "unsportsman" like as you claim Brendan is being. There's absolutely no need to get personal even if you dislike someone. It's downright rude and unnecessary.
