I have just watched Strictly on V plus and am shocked at Brendan and Lisa, I have defended them and what a pair of asses they came across as. How spiteful were they. Brendan said they favoured Austin, I am sorry they chose the weaker dancer blimmin Lisa, really really annoyed me sorry had to vent.

Glad you feel better - we all need to vent sometimes. I'd have felt the same if they'd chosen Austin. I found the weekly, upper body gyrations in front of the judges beginning to pall: Lisa on the other hand danced.

My opinion you understand

Did you need to start another thread???? There are umpteen on here slating Brendan and Lisa for being honest - surely you could have just joined in on another one instead of starting YET another one

I really am perplexed - in what way were they spiteful.

Did you just see the results show or did you also watch ITT tonight?

I could have forgiven Brendan his paddy on saturday night, but there was no need for what they said tonight on ITT

They will be out next week, mark my words. Especially if up against Rachel

Lisa didn't say anything spiteful. Brendan blew his top and Lisa tried to explain what he meant, tactfully. She wasn't nasty though. I thought she did a good, diplomatic job actually.

Just what was wrong with what they said.

Brendan is probably the most supportive pro of other celebs: he helped Austin with his jive - he has encouraged others when the judges slated them. If he can speak up in support of other celebs - why shouldn't he support his own

I've read enough tonight to make me vote for Lisa and Brendan.

I thought Brendan was justified in saying what he did tonight and put it across well - not in a spiteful way.

There's always so much venom on here about under/overmarking (depending on how your fave does!) and Brendan was simply expressing his view on this.

IMO he was correct.

Tonight on ITT just thought they think they are better than them and am sure he said something that Erin and Austing thought it was there show and I never got that impression he just choked it not the Brendan show.

Sorry but you are talking rubbish - nowhere did he say it was Austin and Erin's show - what he did was allude to the fact that they thought they were in with a strong chance of winning and let's face it - didn't we all???

All that Lisa and Brendan asked is that if the judges are going to pick Lisa up for technicalities then all the rest of the contestants need to be picked up on technicalities too, ie Austin's Salsa Action, Rachel's lacklustre cha cha and Tom's lack of Rhumba steps

I don't believe for one second that Lisa and Brendan think they are better than Austin and Erin. The impression I got was that they thought Lisa's jive was just as good as Austin's salsa - that's all.
Regarding the "their show" comment - I felt it came from the fact that Austin and Erin were the favourites to win and were aware of it.

But her Jive was awful her kicks were really bad she was overmarked and if she had done that earlier would of been 6's or 7's.

"Spiteful" is obviously as subjective as everything else. I think it was spiteful to name other dancers, to talk about their dance in a very derogatory manner and imply, strongly, that their dance was not as good as his dance. For the people who had never, ever been in the dance off, listening to him must have been a bit of a kick in the teeth.

or seemed spiteful.

What do you feel Austin's salsa was worth?

As has been previously mentioned - in an earlier series Erin said Zoe and Ian were undeserving of a 10. Was that spiteful - or an opinion to which she was entitled?

And his salsa was great??? I think not! There was little Salsa action, or arm work which is a classic salsa move, in fact at one point they were doing samba steps - hence Brendan's outburst. Had that Salsa been full of Salsa steps and performed well then he wouldn't have had a problem.

Agreed. And it seems spiteful to say that A&E thought that the title was theirs (they never said anything indicating that, quite the opposite) and then it seems spiteful to slip in the comment "we don't like to ruin somebody's 6 months of work" - which I take as reiterating the rumour that Austin had more months of practice than the others.
Clearly however there's plenty of people who think that kicking somebody while they're down is good practice.

It wasn't too bad. Four 8s I would have thought. I have forgotten what he actually scored.
