Having been top of the leader board all those times Austin and Erin would not be human if they hadn't thought at some point or other that they had it in the bag, whether they said it on VT or not.

Could he possibly be talking about Erin when he said someones 6months work???? The pro's start their planning for SCD quite a way in advance of being allocated their celebrity - just my take of course

I think you're looking for insinuations where none exist.

Ive loved Brendan this year, as another poster noted he has been so supportive of the other pairs - complimenting Jodie and Ian (waltz?) during the live show, speaking up for John's right to be in the show when a lot of others were saying he shouldnt be there.

The guy obviously has a massive sense of fairplay and it extends to all the dancers not just to Lisa.

I'm totally unbiased in this sense I'm not a fan of Austin or Lisa.

The better dance was Austin salsa, I really thought Lisa jive was pretty bad and the marks were very generous if I'm honest but than again I thought Austin was also overmarked for his salsa.

Shame he didnt keep his mouth shut tonight then, hes through Austin and Erin arent, he ought to be happy and focusing on next week, as i have the feeling it will be his last dance. Lisa cant criticise anyones dancing hers isnt great and she isnt a pro dancer.

When will Brendan learn to keep it buttoned??? I was liking him much more this year than ever before, but unfortunately he has ruined it for himself and Lisa, as if any of Erin and Austins voters (of which there were many) were wondering where their votes should go he has just lost them big time

I would agree with that. I have been critical of Brendan in the beginning of this series but come to not mind him for all those points you have mentioned. I think he is rather harmless.

He was asked about it in the interview. If youre gonna get stroppy about it, get stroppy with Claudia's producers.

Brendan wasnt having a go at Austin anyway, he was criticising the judging...with good reason.

It's such a shame that people think it's wrong to actual have an opinion about something & Brendan is entitled to his opinion no need to slate him for it

Yes - I think that's an important differentiation. It's not an attack on the couple themselves but on the same judging system we've all moaned about all series.

but, yet again, this is subjective. Your own opinion and that of the FM are equally valid. Yours is within the context of being a B and L supporter, theirs in the context they are not.

You thinking none exist does not make it so, it just mkes it your POV.

I've managed to get iplayer to work but I'm wondering if I've seen the right show as I didn't see anything worth commenting on.

So...it is okay for Brendan to have an opinion, but not okay for anyone else to have an opinion on Brendan's opinion...

okay, now I get it. I missed the Brendan's Word Is Law Memo...

Nope - everyone should have an opinion and I would really hate to hear that the Brendan's Word is Law law has been passed!!

I found Brendan refreshing honest on ITT tonight. Nothing spiteful about his comments. I think Austin and Erin did think they would win, they were so far ahead for weeks. I notice on the results show Erin said 'I' want to win and quicky changed it to 'we'....very telling and much more juicy than Brendan stating facts.

So, it is okay for someone to have an opinion on whatever opinion Brendan has expressed, publically, without a gun to his head?

So this thread is okay, then? *sigh* I love it when all is right with the world.

Not until last Saturday - when imo they deserved to go through to the semis. As for this comment
Quote:
“which I take as reiterating the rumour that Austin had more months of practice than the others”

- her remark is indeed subjective; coloured, perhaps, by tunnel vision where A&E are concerned. No one else, not even A&E supporters have assumed that Brendan's comment implied that Austin had previous experience.

I personally think it just comes down to the fact that all of the others are likeable - for some reason Lisa and Brendan are not -not sure why - they are too smug? too full of themselves? I don't know but I think the likeability factor comes into a lot of their criticism.

you missed my point of course you can have an opinion on what anyone says but there is no need for some of the garbage that some of the posters have been posting

But again, it is only garbage if you do not agree with it. You cannot expect to post on an open forum and have every agree...right is subjective. Just because you like and respect Brendan, it does not mean that everyone does.
