Celebrity Big Brother 2

Does anyone know if they're planning a Celeb BB 2 for next year's Comic Relief? I think that if they do, they should analyse possible celeb contestants before putting them in the house. On proper Big Brother, applicants for BB had to be be checked to see how mentally stable they were before being considered - if proper care like this had been taken with the last Celeb BB, then they wouldn't have ended up with a messed up Vanessa Feltz - or Chris Eubank.

I wonder if any celebs would want to do it though? Granted, it's done Claire Sweeney wonders and probably boosted Jack Dee's ratings slightly, but what about the effects on Vanessa's career or Anthea's?

If they do do a Celeb BB2, then I reckon they should be stricter with them than last time - last time they were allowed to get away with anything!

I head that after CelebBB finished, they destroyed all the tapes so they wouldn't be able to be used in the future against the celebHousemates.

The film containing all the happenings 24 hours a day are definitely destroyed but it is quite possible that the programmes are still out there, but I can't see much chance of them being repeated again so they're as good as gone.

I hope so. Celeb BB (imho) was the TV event of the year (still is). I can garantee the bits we saw on comic relief night will still be in the archives as they were part of comic releif night,. Also bits have been shown on the BBC news too. But this means that posibally the only existing copies either have a spinning banner in the top right corner (comic relief) or are cropped to 14:9 (the BBC news ones)

If proper care is taken to weed out unstable people from non-celebrity BB then how did Brian and Penny get in?

I can't think how Penny got in, but I don't think Brian's got a problem - he just gets a bit frustrated sometimes. He's perfectly stable, but Penny.......

I did employ a smiley to indicate that I wasn't being entirely serious, but "perfectly stable"? Should I take it that you haven't witnessed (or heard) his screaming fits of terror in the darkness on various nights (which Josh only weakly emulated whilst "hypnotised")?

BTW, isn't CR only held every two or three years?

Correct.

ITV used to do a national 48hrs weekend charity coverage in every other year than Comic Relief.

How about a Celebrity Big Brother for Children In Need?

Good idea. They better not wipe the tapes this time. Its sad they were wiped as i laughed at some of the stuff and would love to see it again.

Seriously I think Penny is mentally unstable (although I'm sure thts nothing to do with being born again). Did you see her on BBLB with Stuart? Woooooo!
