Its obvious if he gets to the final there would be no point as he would win regarldess of how horrible he dances. Thanks to the biased female public vote

Lisa vs Rachel would be a better final and something worth looking forward to as no one knows who would win fo certain

But he doesn't dance horribly. He deserves to win, just as the rest do. So he should get knocked out so we can have an unpredictable final, is that what you're saying?

I don't really see how having two proven unpopular dancers in the final would be a boon for the show.

Why would it be horrible? They all deserve to be there

.... and that's not a biased statement in any way?

And it is in no way obvious actually.

Maybe it would be better to wait until the semi-final results show before proclaiming that it's a done deal. And even if Tom makes it through, we will still get a final with two good dancers who have worked hard to be there.

Good grief, reading the OP I am really am not on a sane planet any more.

Bit insulting to say women only vote for men as well. I loved Jill and I voted for Kelly.

Right so a final with NO popular dancer to vote for???

Evidence - see the 5 dance off's involving Rachel or Lisa.

That would kill teh show more then Tom winning!!

Lisa v Rachel would probably be a more unpredictable final but "better" is subjective. I would argue that it cannot be a "better" final if the celeb who engages most with the public to get their votes isn't dancing. I appreciate what you are saying about possible biased voting but my point still stands.

I happen to still like Tom and Rachel thus far. So if Rachel dances better I'll vote for her, not Tom.

You MUST be a Lisa (or Brendan) supporter, failing which you must be a Rachel (or Vincent) supporter because knowing Lisa has probably the least public vote, Rachel will win?

Did i say ALL female voters? No! I implied most of the votes for Tom are female. And what has Jill or kelly got to do with this show? You might not have fancied any male dancer in their series

You did say ALL. But you say the 'biased female votes', which is a sweeping generalisation. If you say some or MANY, you may still have a point.

And with the second half of your post you negate any possible reason you may have tried to make with the first.

So why dont we get JS back? The dance luvies said its about dancing not about who is popular with the pubic.
Amazing how peoples tune changes

If Tom is the worse dancer in the final he would still win thanks to the biased public. And i see nothing exciting about this procession. X factor would look alot more intresting.

And of course, there is no firm evidence at all as to the demogrpahic make-up of the voters, especially as no details have ever been released.

It has been mentioned on previous threads the order of the public votes for last saturday with Rachel having the lowest public vote.

What crap. They all have an equal right to be there, and in no way would any of them getting through to the final be "bad for SCD".

I know some people on here let there prejudices run away with them, but you could at least be more subtle about it.

I disagree with you teewoods. I think the Opposite, not having Tom in the final would probably hurt the show.

Tom is more popular with the public and if he was not in the final, the number of people voting would be considerably less I would assume.

Agreed. I voted for Jodie every week from week 2.

Was cheesed when she went.

Oh wow. I can honestly put my hand on my heart and say I've never voted for any male on the basis that I fancied him. Darren Gough? Please. He was the most exciting dancer to me and as for Lilia's routines...fabulous. Never saw anything in Mark but loved him and Karen together plus her choreography. They were the best couple for me, that's why I supported them. I enjoyed Camilla's choreography with Gethin last year, so I supported them in the latter stages, I didn't vote at all before the quarter final. Austin and Erin to me were the best couple full stop for everything, dancing, routines, personality. Satisfied?

Well you're obviously not a Tom fan! I'd be fine with John Sergeant back if that's what the public had decreed. I've never said that he shouldn't have been there and have not changed my tune in the slightest. (Can't believe I've just used that!)

At this stage, we have three couples who have all topped the leaderboard at more than one stage of the competition and can all dance well. Even from the judges' point of view, the "worst" dancer is somewhat subjective. Barring a Matt Di debacle, it's pretty safe to say that all three couples will produce six good performances on Saturday. And I still say that the couple that does the best job of encouraging the public to pick up the phone (regardless of reasons) should make the final.

Oh puhleese.

It's not Tom's fault he's so popular is it? Why should he be penalised for it? Sorry Tom, you're too nice to win.

Ok so just because he gets more votes he shouldn't be allowed to win. Irrespective of whether he dances better or not. Hmmm.

I think Rachel will win, i don't understand why everyone seems to be doubting her popularity. Everyone i know thinks shes the best dancer and deserves to win.
