Hi guys,

I was upset to see Austin go on Saturday and was sad to hear he won't be taking part on the Christmas Special. PLease sign here if you would like him to be a part of it and hopefully we can show our support and then they'll let him do it.

No! We want JS the publics favourite. He had 4 times more votes than Austin ever week.

God no, this is a sign up for Austin anyway, not JS!

If you want to start a petition against frivolous petitions, I'll sign that.

I would like to see them take part, hence I have signed the petition, but the BBC never take anyway, they do what ever suits them anyway.

C'mon, unless someone dancing in the Christmas Special got injured badly, I don't think the producers will have time to slot in the seventh couple. It's a one-hour show with six couples.

Much as I would like to see him dance the Christman Special, I don't think it will actually happen. Maybe next year he and Erin might be invited to return, and like Erin and Colin in 2006, they might get the perfect score and hopefully win the Christmas Special as a consolation prize. But this year - don't hold you breath.

Yeah, it simply isn't practical for him to be drafted in at this stage. The rules can't be bent, although I'd like them to be.

I like your second suggestion, though I wouldn't even be fussed about them winning or getting the perfect score; it'd just be nice to see them dance.

What is it with all of these petition threads all of a sudden? Do people really believe that they have any right at all to influence such things? And do people really think that plans and contracts for a TV recording can be changed at a moment's notice?

Absolutley I sign- Lisa should step aside bearing in mind that Austin was unfairly evicted against her

I'd love to see him dance again in the Special, if not this year then it will have to be next.

Would love to see him on there but highly unlikely they'll change the line up now. But would be hoping for next year.

Yes to Austin and JS!

Us girlies need more totty on the Xmas show. (Heck, that last red wine has just kicked in!)

With respect to everyone here, the accusations in this forum just go from bad to worse. I really do feel that people should either

a) get a grip

b) get back to treating SCD as entertainment

or

c) watch something that is more suited to their taste/outlook/expectations.

Yes to the first. We should have a right to influence (not dictate) such things. We pay the license fee.

No to the second. Hence no signature.

What nonsense !

Austin left last week , he won't be in the Christmas special because the line up was agreed , top 3 this year and 3 invited others .

Why on earth should Lisa stand aside , or Rachel or Tom ?would Austin have stood aside if Lisa had gone and her fans said she should be in the Christmas show ?

For goodness sake ...the producers would just snigger .
No .... they would guffaw .

Are they both on your totty list?

You've just made me wish we could have a best of the girls night and a best of the boys night. Very wishful thinking.

Absolutely not - and much as I love JS, it's no to him too (though I'm sure he would pull in loads of viewers)

I don't wish to see Austin in the Christmas Special, and thankfully, I shall not.

I'm afraid, he didn't make it in to the top three. Why should the Producers favour Austin, despite him not reaching as far as the others?

Don't worry folks - Austin will be on next year, I'm sure

I think the Xmas special should mix it up a bit in future. Invite back the entertainers like John Sergeant and Juliane Clarey! It's not a serious competition after all, merely light-hearted fun.

Getting rather bored of seeing the same old past winners and finalists being regurgitated year after year.

Hi Sid - a bit of down market fun never goes amiss at Christmas.

If I throw a party might you find the stamina to stick around for a bit longer this time?

Let me know and I'll order the booze, the chavvy hats and party poppers.
