I would love her to be signed. I wanna listen to her music.

But I know that a lot of people went off her in the last few weeks.

If it would help make her, I would buy her music (and I usually DL it for free )

But usually only the final 3 get signed. I hope she makes it. And I hope Gary Barlow was serious/doesn't go back on his word but I am doubtful.

What do you think?

Hopefully someone sent him the Youtube of Patience / Pigeons and he might come to his senses.

I think you should stop downloading music for free. The BPI and ISPs are getting more and more serious about cracking down on it and are sending out warning letters to people.

I thought she was very good on her first song last week. First one of hers I liked in ages. All hope is not lost!

I think she will get signed as there's definitely a market for her music, not sure if it'll be by Gary Barlow though - people seem to have held the poor bloke to his word when he probably wasn't being entirely serious (she was favourite to win at the time and it was probably just his way of saying that he really liked her).

She lost her confidence for a couple of weeks after having the laryngitis - and that really affected her singing. She was well below par for those two weeks and I think quite a few people stopped supporting her then and switched their votes to Alex.

Nevertheless, I think that she has a great recording voice (Louis says this too) and I hope that someone signs her up and she releases a few songs. Problem is - that can't happen until next March - as they are all tied up with contracts to the X Factor until then. That's a pity - but as long as Diana can keep her name in the media a bit until then, she should do alright.

I would have thought that someone as talented as Diana would be sure to be signed.

I doubt she'll be signed. She couldn't beat Eggnog and JLS on a public vote, and the fact she can't sing won't help.

I doubt Simon or Gary will sign her to be honest. But it is likely that she will get signed, probably by a less known major record label.
Then again, her downfall was pretty intense. it's not normal to have so many haters when you haven't eve officially become a singer yet soooo if i were them, i would probably think twice before signing someone who's hated so much

Somebody is paying for her to stay in a hotel on Mayfair.

She's being given a set up far better than the house they had to live in for the past 10 weeks.

She will be signed. She mentioned after the show is over, like it was for Rhydian so something will happen. Everything is supposed to happen in January so it's a case of watch this space.

Not being able to win the public vote doesn't mean much. In fact, I would give it about as much (possibly even less) relevance to album sales than Youtube views.

What is a less known major record label? There are only 4 and I get the impression that they are all well known.

She generated interest. It's better to have lots of people that really hate you and lots of people that really like you than having lots of people not saying alot about you at all. Simon Cowell knows this better than anyone!

The contracts are complicated and difficult, situations change and after the dismal performance of XF/BGT runners up this year, Cowell may not be in any hurry to sign loads more. But beyond that, she can sign to RCA Records UK without any legal issues and they would most likely be a far better fit than Syco.

I think that if another major (Gary/Universal) were to offer her a deal, then Syco/Sony would just sign her up anyway to prevent rivals potentially cashing in on their format.

They are laying out the carpet for her. They've given her a decent hotel in London from where they're sending her to premieres and gigs and doing promotions for herself. She's more popular in the finalists week than the finalists.

Something is up.

I'm beginning to feel that the market can't really stand any more wannabees from RTV.
There is a saturation point and I kinda think we have reached it now.
I honestly cannot foresee any great level of sucess for any of this year's contestants.
Of course I could be wrong but I'm certainly now tired of all the hype and haven't particularly enjoyed this series.

I'll be very surprised if Diana is still being talked about a year from now when the next group of wannabees are filling column inches.

From whence has this story originated?

I feel the same, sadly haven't enjoyed this series so much. The artists have been so bland I've watched the first few seconds of each song and then fast forwarded to the judges comments. But that shows how much it has become about the judges I suppose.
They need to give this show a break.

I totally agree and this is probably my last year watching it.

If Bruce Forsyth and Arlene Phillips both get the boot I'm going to jump ship.

Nettos and Asda are always on the look out for new cashiers, her claw may be a problem though and damage the goods.

I would bet my teeth that nobody will hear from her this time next year, getting signed means nothing? plenty of acts get signed and they never go anywhere. Advances are often tiny and contracts very restrictive, see the X factor contract for that.

People keep harping on about her getting signed and she is still hanging around, its BS! its the Big Brother thing, do you remember who came 4th in the BB final last year (without looking on the internet) as soon as the show is over it will be tumbleweed time for Diana.

How can you compare Big Brother to The X Factor?

Seriously.........the XF is a TALENT show and like her or not (and judging by your posts you dont which is of course is your perogative) Diana HAS a talent........dont mistake that for lazy, media craving, unlikeable wannabees that loaf around the BB House all summer

Diana will get a recording contract IMO
