Especially the music? Yes I would say that's an important component to a band.
Anyway, no, they're rubbish. That over-sincere moany lyrics, oh and "I never knew I loved you 'til you was dead"? Missed the English lession where they tought you the difference between 'was' and 'were', did you? Get out. |

I've heard of them, two of my friends saw them at a gig a little while ago... but had never heard any of their music until a few weeks ago when their album was being advertised on TV. I forgot all about them, but I remember thinking at the time that I liked the sound of one of their songs. I think I'm gonna go & look for it.

They are great. I think they are really good. And as for the miserable poster above who says about english grammer or whatever, that is how rapping or w.e it's called goes. Because believe it or not, most of the youth of today (incl me) actually talk like that. i.e. Init, Til' etc.
I love Strong Again and papa. |

Awful chav bullshit thats what I think of them! The music is the sort of dirge that only a 12 year old chav could like.
Absoloute crap. Oh and O.P before you hurl abuse at me like you have done to other posters please remember other people are entitled to a different opinion |

They are indeed very bad. And regardless of the 'rap hip/hop' comment. They should still use grammar. Just becuase it goes over a fast beat doesn't mean you should use 'was' instead of 'were'. It's that kind of thing that annoys me. The words to Papa could have been sincere and meaningful, and could really have made a great song, especially for the style, but the main guy sounds like he has a cold and he comes across very insincere.
But he was hilarious on Buzzcocks, both times. And actually seemed fairly intelligent. So why the refusal to use correct grammar? |

is it, cos i'm not sure it is....me and my mates say innit but kind of in a different way. Your suggesting the youth of today have no concept of the english language and grammar - maybe it's just where your local to? (that is in no-way-whatsoever meant as in an insult btw). I dont think Ndubz are representative of youth, just a small localised selection, which is fair enough i think

I don't think they are brilliant or anything, but I give them tremendous credit for the way they've got where they are, almost entirely off their own hard work and effort.
And Tulisa isn't too hideous. |

I can not stand them but my friend loves them, I think their crap
They're a very bad sample of British Underground/Rap/R'n'B what ever you call it I just don't think they deserve any air play |

I never usually like this sort of music, but I actually like them. I bought the album & I was really shocked by the song 'Sex'. It says stuff about blowjobs and juggling you balls! Honestly. Lmao. Love the girls voice.

I'm going to purchase their album at some point although i have got most of it downloaded.
I would say however that they are more for the teens i.e. 13-18 year olds etc. I.e. it's more understandable for them to recognise. Obviously if you played this sort of thing to an elderly person they just wouldn't get it! lol |

Some guy from Ndubz was on Never Mind the buzzcocks a few weeks ago. They played a clip of their music and they lost me at some line about "Shanequa and what".

'Ouch' was good, but the 'Papa' one of whatever was so camp and embrassing beyond reason. Ouch!

There seems to be a lot of 'hip hop' and 'emo' kids these days.

TBH everyone in this thread seems to harp off about the age type thing. I didn't say 'older' people shouldn't like it, i just said teens may understand it more.

I love Strong Again and papa. N-dubz, in my opinion, are unoriginal and over-hyped. Add to that the terrible grammar...! Though when the guy was on Buzzcocks he was reasonably funny
