Best X-Factor cringe moments or un-intentional laughs please...
It's been my favourite series so far for fun and entertainment. I know it doesn't take itself too seriously all the time - but often it does get things very wrong.
I think my favourite of this series has to be the week Diana couldn't perform. This highlighted the absolute mis-use of the english language. Everyone was devastated totally DEVASTATED. With lots of shots of her being DEVASTATED in bed. I think we all know that no-one would really want anyone to be truly devastated in the true sense of the word (an event that results in total destruction) but the X-factor hyperbole just made the whole thing hilarious and totally ridiculous. Oh that and Britney's post-interview car crash which clearly was the most wince-inducing 30 seconds of televsion ever: She said 'Yes, awesome, thank-you. Amazing, I met so many different people, the place is beautiful.' I'm sure there's plenty more - let's get them all together in one beautiful thread of cringeness and un-intentional laughs that make us love the factor so much... |

Eoghan trying to hit the high notes in never forget
Eoghans performance of hsm was just cringy and funny Eoghans performance in big band week i also thought the hero performance was funny, because nobody knew what had happened to daniel and ruth and there were all these conspiracies, they were being divas, they got stuck in their dressing room..rachel was also stuck with them but she managed to get out another door...i found it all funny |

Eoghan charging on the stage when Diana was doing her farewell song and clinging on to her for dear life like she was about to sent to a firing squad

Basically "Haway Pet, we're like the same age, an you live away from hame like, where they speak a different language an that. I canna imagine what it's like, like" - Simon "Hurry Up" pmsl |

I found Simon's "I'm still reeling from Alexandra's performance" totally fake, cringe worthy and unneeded.

I've loved the judges theatrics this year. I mean how gay is GAY LOUIS? He's the campest camper this side of Campden. He's been such a biatch the whole series - firstly with his total mis-treatment of Bad-lashes/Girlband to his total favouriitism to JLS and the IRISH Eoughan (did you know Louis is irish too???).
All the crying as well - just loved it all.. CRINGETASTIC. |

My favourite toe-curling moment was Simon's heavy-handed remarks to Austin along the lines of "You fancy one of those GIRL dancers don't you, because you're STRAIGHT aren't you - oops, I've probably got you into trouble with your GIRLFRIEND now!".
Britney's "What show is this?" moment when Dermot attempted to chat to her after her performance is a close second, mind you. |

I think Austin is straight. Otherwise his girlfriend must be a very beautiful ladyboy.

Actually the funniest thing about it was Austin's "WTF?" blank look. I think he was as puzzled as everyone else.
Also the mention of Deadlock was spot-on - bloody hilarious. I think Deadlock should get louder and more cringey every time its used (see The Day Today opening sequence). |

My take on that was that Simon was trying in a very hamfisted way to let everyone know that Austin is not gay because there had been a lot of speculation on it.

The two "rappers" who were on one of the very first episodes. One guy could sort of sing a little, but his mate was priceless, would say nothing 99% of the time, then add a random, completely out of place "ye-ah" that looked like it distracted his colleague. I think it's on this youtube clip
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=KkKaTeWI3KM (wow, Cheryl looked much hotter back in the summer when her tan was presumably more real than the lacquer she's applying at the moment. I love her laughing at the two poor rappers. That's when she became the Nation's Sweetheart/National Treasure) And the guy who held the final note of his song for like 30 seconds. Simon then challenged him to do it again, the guy said he could, held it for about 20 seconds, to which Simon deadpanned, "Wasn't as long." |
