Is there any way of finding a mobile phone that has been hidden in the house but is on silent?

Might be a daft question but any advice or solution would be fantastic.

Do you have anything with a speaker on it that you can carry around the house while you ring your mobile.
My PC speakers go mental when my mobile rings.

yeah i tried to walk around with a pc speaker on a extended wire and rang it but got no joy.

Mine do that as well but only when phone is quite close to them. I also have one of them phone holders which flashes different colours when it detects a phone signal.

As said the only way is to pick up the RF using either a speaker wired up or better still an AM radio and keep walking around until you find it.

Or if there are any alarms set on it wait for that to go off.
