For me i loved Alexandra's first audition (2008) as I love Saving all my love for you

I also loved 4tune's audition (remember them??? ) they sang unchained melody and I loved it

They're not technically first auditions though, are they? You have to get past at least two sets of producers first!

I think it was quite good. They sound alot better there then they do on the live shows..

However I think the best audition ever has gotta be Alexandra's first this year. It was PERFECT!

My personal favourite audition which I watched again and again though was this young lady..

I wish the attention would lay off Aston. I think that's what's bored me about them to be honest. It's like with TT you get Gary (yes, he is damn good but I also like Jason's voice and would like to hear more of it), you get the same with Westlife (Shane) and Bogzone (Ronan). There's always a token leader. Yawnsville.

I thought Rachel's was amazing and thought she would be in the final from that alone! Shame she didn't carry it through to the live shows.

She was very good. I think her downfall was not having an autistic pet rabbit with one leg or having 5 kids by as many different dads.

i think 4tune were a bit hard done too in that the X factor wasnt ready for a band to succeed (I know G4 did but I mean like a boyband) whereas this year there has been a lot of "best band ever" and "it would be different for a band to win" comments

They don't film the ist auditions.

We only see the show from the 4th audition onwards.

Have to say I thought Joelle was a dead cert for the live rounds when I saw her audition first time but listening to her audition again you can hear she needs some training - she's really straining her voice to hit those high notes. I seem to recall she really struggled on the second day at bootcamp too.

I hope she's spending this year getting singing lessons and that she comes back in the future. She needs to take a leaf out of Alexandra's book and realise that her raw talent and potential needs developing.

Diana's. Not technically the best, but she came across as the most relevant, she chose a brilliant song, she stood out and she seemingly had a lovely personality (something she proved in the live shows).

Apart from her, probably 4Tune.
