Christ, if someone played me a Phil Collins song when I was already a bit down I'd top myself there and then.

Coldplay - Everything's Not Lost -> Life Is For Living.
Not happy clappy, but it makes me feel better about everything, every single time I play it. |

First, anything by Leonard "Music to commit siucide to" Cohen, so that I' know that I was right at the bottom of the abyss and then I'd know that anything like Frank Sinatra (spit) or a boy band just has to make me a lot better.
Seriously though, anything by the Stones or Mango Groove (SA) But if I really wanted to be uplifted what about eitherthe Bruch or the Brahms Violin Concerto - real driving music and both last movements would truly put me on a high. Peter |

Not that i ever actually *get* down, but when i'm feeling a bit stuck in a rut and drifting, I get all wistful and put on my funeral songs:
Counting Crows - Colorblind Shed Seven - Chasing Rainbows Oasis - Live Forever Cue much happier and focused me. |

The second movement of Mahler's Fifth Symphony really uplifts me. Quite suprising if you know his music.
