I really enjoyed tonights show. Chris was overmarked, how can judges give a 6 for 2 stumbles beats me.

Least it was evened up with Suzannes scores

Suzanne took a difficult routine and made a mockery of it. She made it look completely effortless and like it was a stroll in the park, thats probably why some people thought it was simple when it was far from it, she made it look simple....
How on earth with two trips and the timing being out did chris get a six? Thought Kyran was way better than him...
Zaraah was graceful, but it wasnt as difficult a routine as suzis, which seeing how both of them dealt with it was worlds apart, you knew zaraahs was diffilcult cos she stuttered through parts, whereas suzanne guilded and it was flawless.
Overall the girls just deserved it and therefore rightly won, but it was very close.

That was a hugely entertaining show. Just putting the skaters aside for one minute............... can I just say that the STAR of the show was Karen's new hair cut..... dear God.... it has been dreadful in the past, a very severe fringe and wringlets !!!! yes wringlets... a la "Whatever happened to Baby Jane" sort of wringlets. Tonight her new "do" took years off her.... she looked fabulous....and Ruthie should go shorter again.. didnt like the length to her hair tonight.

Now.......the skating..... well... wonderful, wasn't it. The nostalgia.... brought it all back. I like Chris Founstain, but the errors in his programme did not warrant the 6's that he got. There is no denying though that he and Frankie have a great partnership. Kryan and Mel were very good too, but I have seen them sharper in previous numbers. Love Zaarah too.... she is a lovely skater, but always seems a little cautious in her moves.

As for the line of 6's for Matt and Suzanne..... they were without doubt the best of the night.......all this talk about easy performance... nonsense.... they moved at tremendous speed across the ice during that programme with some very technical and difficult lifts included.

I thought she looked a million dollars.... just fabulous....she and Matt have a magic partnership that never fails to deliver.

By the way... one last comment..... that child of Holly's will thrive !!!!! no doubt about that......magnificent set of boobies in that dress LOL.

That really got me in the mood for January, that's for sure! A fine relief from the SCD voting fiasco and Len having to reorder the table and all the controversy. I do like a bit of fun! Sure, the judges get overexcited with the marking, but DOI never seems half as serious as SCD gets so it stays fun!

The routines from Jayne and Chris were amazing, as per usual. Glad Jayne won, as lovely as Chris is our quietly confident Jayne deserved it.

Chris Dean changed his tune a bit didnt he! lol
also fountains reaction to the 30 could have been a bit better.
The girls i think were calmer about the whole thing than the boys.

What a lovely show it was.
No overly mean supercillious picky judges, no calling out from the audience, great music, the brilliant Shakin Stevens and no arguements.
Just a thouroughly entertaining pleasure to watch and what a difference from the rather unpleasant atmosphere in the SCD we had this year.

A thoroughly enjoyable show. However. . .
1 - Why didn't Clare skate with Andrei? I assumed he was busy, but he was clearly in the audience with Susie!
2 - Did anyone else feel Chris and Frankie's constumes didn't quite match each other like the other couples'?

Was he? I missed him, maybe he's injured at the moment, seems odd

Even the judges said Suzanne was skating within her comfort zone! If Chris Fountain was given a routine with all the things he CAN do perfect he would get five sixies right across the board, but then it would be boring with no excitement, at least he tries to put on a show. Zaarahs routine was better than Suzannes.

Don't people realise Chris has to do as he's told with his routines and his music. He doesn't choose what he wants to do he's told by Chris Dean and I think he does very well with it, at least he has a go.

Yeah. Right after Chris and Frankie's routine, the camera pans to the audience. You'll see Andrei (in a blueish grey t-shirt) and Susie on the right of the screen. Injury is a possibility. I hope it doesn't stop him from being in the next series

Well Chris Dean gives them the basic elements and choreography- it's then up to the couple to practice and refine these.
Forget the trip and stumble on the jump from Chris (errors any professional can make), but Chris and Frankie were hardly ever in time with each other throughout the routine, and to me didn't seem to have much connection with each other in the parts they did dance together. This is what lets them down, IMO, and where Suzanne and Matt shine above them.

I could never take to Chris Fountain...He doesn't seem to have a connection with his partner and wants to show off his skills ( or lack of them)

I enjoyed last nights programme and was glad when team Torvill won. I could just never take to Chris Fountain as I felt he wanted to be a solo skater and outdo Frankie. The bitterness towards suzanne just made him appear like a silly little boy. I think if Suzanne was overmarked for what was a lovely performance it was probably to even out the silly scoring on Chris' flawed programme. Kyran was way better than Chris, trying to cram in disjointed difficulties does not make a good dance routine!

There really was no reason or excuse for the Sixes -
fair play to Jason for being honest. At least justice was done eventually.

I agree with the behaviour. He was far too preoccupied with beating suzanne. He took it too far. He also abandoned all manners when she got 30, he behaved like a bit of a brat when all the other lads took it in very good grace. Kyran and duncan looked pleased for her when she got 30, i know he was gutted but that was no excuse. He was being was very bitter about the whole thing.

Was a bit bad more than a bit odd...
In one shot it looked like Mel was giving him a bit of a telling off for it

Correct me if I'm wrong, but were any of you there at the recording of the show?? It so happened I WAS THERE and Chris Fountain did NOT behave like a brat. He was stood up applauding with the rest of the skaters and just because he sat down two seconds before anybody else, they showed that bit !! As you know or may not know they can edit a recording to what they want you to see. I can assure you he lost with good grace. and if you watched them dancing together in the finale(Chris & Suzanne) they were skating well together and having a good laugh with no animosity whatsoever

That is very interesting, thanks Lily.
