Please Think Carefully
Everyone has their favourites in the final. And whilst tomorrow IS important to the acts and their relevant fans, it is what happens after that which is more important.
What is the point in voting for an act tomorrow if you don't want to or won't support them in their career post X Factor. In recent years, the bands that have consistently won best live act at awards ceremonies in this country have been Take That and Muse. and why? well it is simply cos they put on an entertaining show, and people that pay £45 per ticket leave the concert saying, yes that was worth it and I had a good time. If and when you vote tomorrow, think about the act that you are happy to pay £45 for to be entertained by in concert and an artist whose cds you want to buy. If you aren't willing to support the acts post xf, then why bother voting for them at all. Vote for them, sure, but vote for them because you are willing to put your all behind them in order to be a fan for some time to come, and not only for tomorrow. The voting tomorrow is somewhat irrelevant, it is the future that is more important. vote for the act who entertains you, and who will grow as an artist and who will continue to entertain you in concert a la take that or muse. When you have worked hard to pay for a £45 ticket for a show, you need to know that you will be seeing an act who will sing great and perform great and leave you feeling happy that you spent that money on that concert Who in this years final can provide that? It is your choice, but think wisely, and if you vote, then, for the acts sake, vote because you will support them post XF and not for the sake of voting. |

Great post - totally agree!
if you arent willing to support them after XF then why bother voting because your right tomorrow is important but the future of that singer is way more important than the final ie future concerts, album/single sales etc etc... |

You raise a very good point, and its a great moral reasoning behind it, but to be fair part of the fun for some viewers is just seeing who wins and having fun in making the choice. I will vote for Alex tommorow many times, and would buy her albums etc, but some people just see this as a TV show which somebody has to win, so vote for the best or fave and I think thats alright too.
You are very right though, but some people just like the TV aspect of it. |

I can see her going into my preferred genres of music, i can see myself buying her cd's and going to her concerts.for me she throrougly entertains me and is the only one that has not failed to do so every single week.I have liked one or others, but i cannot say every single week like i can alex, she is my winner. |

It's impossible for me to judge whether or not an act will be one that I'll follow after the X Factor, because they only perform cover versions on the X Factor. But I still vote for people that I want to see given that chance to make an album, whether I subsequently buy it or not is a different question. And I've never paid £45 for a ticket for any concert in my life, and I've been to hundreds of gigs. |

What if I vote for someone I like and then their singles and album post X Factor are absolute stinkers? Do I still have to spend money on them because I spent 50p on a phone call?

Is this a rather long winded way of saying don't vote Eoghan? No problem, I wont vote for him, but on the other hand....... |

Sorry, but I think you're taking the X Factor way more seriously than most of the people that watch the show.

And I've never paid £45 for a ticket for any concert in my life, and I've been to hundreds of gigs. To many it is just a Saturday night entertainment show, and that's all. I wouldn't expect any of the people who voted for George Sampson in Britain's Got Talent (???) to have bought his recent single, after all...!

Agreed - i'd think that many of the people who vote on XF (whether in the final or other rounds) are just doing it on a whim, without thinking that they have made some kind of career-long commitment to that act.
