Not seen anything about it yet apart from lots of problems.

I'll wait a while before trying it.

The ability to do firmware updates is not part of PC Studio yet - other forums seem to indicate that it is maybe on its way. I have an 8510 and I only have a few issues with it.
1. The signal strength is not as good as an n95
2. Contacts sometimes disapear after connection to a bluetooth handsfree, but can be "refound" by closing contacts in the application manager or rebooting the phone (Symbian s/w prob - not a Samsung prb)
3. For some reason I cannot view any videos I take on the phone using the Samsung Media Player on my PC - but by changing MP4 to 3GP they are then playable in Quicktime... go figure.

the update server is having a few issues. There is no point in ANYONE doing the update at the moment. Its being looked into. Just LEAVE IT for the moment guys & girls.

Hi guys,

about to finally buy this phone in the next few weeks having waited months for carphone warehouse to end their exclusivity deal to no avail.

Anyone want to give me a few words on the phone e.g. be careful of dust under screen type thing.

Or what package you got it on? Loyalty based discounted upgrades not included.

I have had the phone for a month now and I really like it. I have not had the dust issue, but I have had issues with the contacts disappearing after disconnecting from a bluetooth device (Symbian issue, not a phone issue). I would buy a screen protector if I was you (Nintendo DS and cut it down). I have also had some strange issues with videos - only by changing the file suffix to 3GP (from MP4) am I able to play them on my PC and even then only in Quick time.

The only other "issue" I have is the antenna doesn't seem to be as good as my old N95. There are some good reviews and comparisons out there - I would have a look around.

In hindsight, would I upgrade to this phone...? Yes, the camera and the OS make it all worth while.

Hi, quick question. On the phone's card slot is the limit an 8GB card or a 16GB card?
