IMO it was the tie at the top that uncoupled the train for a Lisa / Rachel final ( ironically ) . Do you think the judges became over zealous in an attempt to nullify the public vote?

Yeah.

I think Craig fancies Rachel.

That's why he's keeping her in.

Partly. Resentment about the judges has been building for the last few weeks. Tonight was the straw that broke the camel's back as a number of people had highlighted all week the fact that this is what they would probably do to ensure Tom ended up in the bottom two.

Yeah! They are obviously aware of the marks the others are giving and adjusted accordingly so Rachel and Lisa drew.

I'm so glad I gave up voting last week and didn't waste my time tonight.

No all they did was give same scores!?

They have done it several times over 6 years!!

I don't believe it was their fault to be honest. They just give scores on what they like.

The problem is clearly the system overall. The dance off was never really designed to still be in effect with only 3 couples left standing.

They should have decided earlier in the week to have no dance off tonight and none of this would have happened.

That was a different circumstance though. Here, Tom could not escape the dance off even with full public votes, in other cases, those affected still had a chance of escaping.

No...but I think the conspiracy theorists are.

wasn't Len checking with Arlene what she had scored at one point in the show?

I love conspiracy theories, me (insert devil smiley here)!

the judges should have clearly marked a 1st 2nd and third...if they gave a 10 to who they thought was the best then the next should have only had at least 9 and the next only at least 8. They shouldnt have given 2 acts the same score for the At and the other dance. That way there would be less chance of a tie.

i still think 1 team should have been voted off...Cam & Tom were the lowest so should have been in the dance off. Even if they were not saved by the judges they should then have gone. I bet tom will now win as the audience will be behind him and he will get more votes as lisa and rachel have been in the bottom due to not getting the public support. I think brendan realised this was his only chance to get rid of tom and was gutted when it didnt happen.

Not much on conspiracy theories, but Bruno did talk about "his girls" tonight.

There is no way it could be proved that they conspired.

If they did then show them the door.

Not happy little faces on them when the decision came through.

The judges did create this problem (either deliberately or not depending on whether your wardrobe consists of mostly bacofoil) by creating a joint 1st place scenario.

(the following assumes a 1, 2, 3 placing)

The great unknown is whether Tom had the most phone votes or not; if yes, then the judges would have been choosing between Lisa & Rachel in the dance off, and Tom would have been on course to win and Brendan's calculations would have been irrelevant.

If he wasn't topping the poll, then he would have been in the dance off and out. I sincerely hope that this wasn't the case and that he doesn't go on to win on the basis of some weird sympathy vote, but the BBC/producers/whoever needs to anticipate these situations and prevent them from happening

That is the most ridiculous misguided post I have read yet Now if you said he fancied Vincent I would have let it go

Len's votes for me were the most out of character.

I like the title of this thread, Len's face always looks as if the other judges are covered in it when they speak...

If they didn't overmark then they wouldn't have had to do what they did tonight!

Some one is bound to ask them how they managed to give Rachel and Lisa exactly the same score out of 80 when Rachel danced better overall - the only way they could ensure only one of them was in the dance off.

Maybe it was just by chance - but either way the judges have been very stupid!
