I'm Confused I thought in the Final the Public Decides and the Judges Scores don't!

Are the Judges scores going to count in the final for half of the points awarded?

Or Will the Winner be soley decided by public vote alone next week.

Just a bit confused as got a big bet on Tom weeks ago to win. May lay against him on betfair to make my profit now, rather than wait and possibly loose the lot if judges scores will count in the final and not used as just a guide like when Alesha won.

There's a bunch of threads on this already.

IIRC in Strictly 3 the judges marks helped directly to decide the first elimination....in conjunction with the televote. With no dance-off, however, the leader of the televote cannot be eliminated first.

When it's down to the final 2, the judges don't matter directly (although they may influence the voters) and whichever couple has the most votes when the lines close wins.

I would suggest the voters ignore the Judges. They are biased.

Remind me please - after the third person is eliminated from the final, do the votes start again from scratch or are all of the votes (including those from the first part of the show - and presumably those carried forward from this week) counted in deciding the overall winner?

The phone votes carry over but I'm not sure if the judges points do.

After last night's debacle I think it is best that the judges take a back seat and are stopped from having any influence on the Final outcome.

The first round is like any other round of SCD, but because there is no dance off and only three couples, the couple with the highest number of public votes cannot be booted off (they will either come first, second, or be first in the event of a three way tie; they cannot be last).

The second/final round is decided by public votes only.

What this means is that unless there are lots of position changes in the public vote durin the final, the couple with the most public votes going into the final cannot lose. The judges do have an influence, but they can only influence the order of the runners up.

might as well give Tom the trophy then

he could fall over twice ( with the girls getting 80/80) and the public would still vote for Tom

I think if voters took the judges a bit less seriously it would be better all round.

Of course it works both ways. Voters shouldn't vote against the judges any more than they should vote with them. To do so arbuably introduces far more bias into the equation than anything the judges do.

Then Brendan and Vincent will have to unleash plan Z (which may or may not work):

Kidnap Camilla and hypnotise her... telling her to copy Erin's series winning showdance from SCD 2004

Good point - I should have done this before as I had a good bet on Austin to win However, I had an even better bet on Alexandra to win
