I agree with this and Rhumbatugger's comments about Len - he's driving me crazy with his supercilious comments and downright rudeness this - and last - series. I don't know if it's the transatlantic flying that is doing him in or (more likely) the elevation to star status he seems to be enjoying through ITT - which is quite misguided IMO. If nothing else I wish he'd leave off the schoolboy innuendo; it's embarrassing for a man of his age (i.e. over 14) to be talking about balls, walnuts and ripping knickers off. It's all a bit 'Carry On'. Maybe he's unwittingly channelling Sid James?

Joking aside, I think Len has had it in for Vincent this series. Whereas some of the other contestants have had the old chestnut - 'some dances just don't suit some people!' Vincent and Rachel have had to put up with rather a lot of ' I just didn't like it - sorry Vince' type of attitude.

Cherie and her apalling latin attempts got more positivity from Len than Rachel and Vincent, who, IMO have not done one 'bad' dance.

I too, really felt for Vincent. At least Craig will praise good choreography when he feels it's warranted.

Len needs to go - you can tell sometimes that Vincent would love to punch him sometimes. He was rude about Vincent's cheorography when he was with Louisa sometimes too.

Is this the long-awaited new dance-off format?
Will viewers be voting 3 times?

But Vincent is infamous for not staying within the established choreographical whatevers for dance X; his VW with Louisa was nice to watch, but it just wasn't a VW (and the marks they would have got if Vincent had 'behaved' would have really mattered too).

As Len would say, Vincent has 'form' (a bit like Brendan actually, but in a less obvious "doesn't do illegal lifts for the hell of it' way)

As I remember, Rachel's VW was not criticised for not having enough content.

It was criticised on performance grounds. 'Itwasn't really a performance...it was all a bit flat.' I think was what Len said.

And Vincent only has 'form' because of Len's comments over the series. If you do not necessarily find Len's comments consistently true, or reliable etc. then Vincent does not have form.

But I think Vincent (great dancer that he is) does take too many risks with his choreography (not necessarily a bad thing; I don't want to sound like a prig, but specific dances have specific requirements/limitations).

I hate defending Len too; I think he is a bit of a berk, but his comments on Louisa's waltz in 2006 (I can't remember Rachel's VW) were spot on, and I can see why he felt similar about the AS (and he wasn't happy with Austin's Paso either).

Sorry Captain - just re-read your post and I got the wrong girl!

I really do understand where you're coming from. I've just written a massive post on the choreography thread which makes my argument clearer. Please read it and tell me what you think.

I can't bear to write the damn, blasted, thing again as I was timed out three times when I first wrote it and don't know how to save.

I think you can save by highlighting the text, right-clicking the mouse and SELECT ALL.
Then when you get timed out, at least you will be able to paste that when you log on again.

They don't give you very long to type something, especially if you are a two finger typer like me.

Thanks Fatskia - it almost drove me mad this morning. (Madder - I know!)

Pray, what is injurious and/or insulting about calling someone Vince oinstead of Vincent?

Nout to some mo mo luv

Never heard him refer to himself as Vince though.

And Vincent himself is a very different kettle of fish to the blokey, cockney '5os barra boy the name Vince, (especially in the mouth of our 'pickled walnuts' Len ) connotes. IMHO of course.

Patronising

And if I recall correctly, Brendan ripped off half the decoration of it (head on shoulder etc) for his and Lisa's VW and Len told him it was the greatest dance since sliced bread! I don't have an axe to grind or a finger on redial with or for either couple, but I thought that stood out a mile.

Yes - I noticed that too - but refrained REFRAINED from comment, as I sometimes feel my sensibilities are oversensitive - and do try to keep a sense of humour about it all.

Imitation is the finest sort of flattery - and I like to think Vincent's choreography is influential.

Nah - I don't LIKE to think it - I THINK IT.

Bit galling though.
