Contacts Problem

I have a W910i on Vodafone (Vodafone Branded) and it wont save contacts when i try to save them for the first time. It says "some info could not be copied" when i press save. When i try it again it saves, why?

EDIT: I was using sim memory. When i copied all contacts to phone memory, set that as default and tried to save a contact it saves first time.

there will be some details that are not support by the sim, such as pictures and notes and stuff.

Maybe its because i give it a contact type such as home, work, mobile etc and the sim memory does not support that?

yes, i think the sim memory support a couple home/work maybe, but not mobile email etc. i'm not sure without looking, when i do it my phone will for example create multiple entries on the sim for people with more than one number.

don't forget when the standard was agreed for sims it was what 1990???
