S-Video to Scart Connector

I hope you guys can help with this one?

I am buying a PS 2 and the output in bothering me. I know about the RGB going green when trying to watch DVD's.

Because of this I wish to use a S-Video cable. Is there anyway that I can re-wire (or buy) a converter that would convert the S-Video 4 pin connecter to a scart connecter. I have got a S-Video port on the front of my TV, but i don't really want to use it for the PS2.

My TV does accept the S-Video format through the scart connecter.

I have not seen any devices that output s-video to a scart connecter are there any?

If not why did sony provide this on my TV?

Cheers.

There are a number of options available here.
A Scart plug into which you plug your svideo lead and the audio leads.
A Scart lead with a Scart plug at one end and an svideo plug/ audio cables at the other end - you need to ensure you get the lead the correct way around ie the scart end needs to be marked TV in.

Both these are available from Keene Electronics or Lektropaks on Mail order:-

Alternatively you could try good old Dixons Maplins Tandy if they are around in your area - they cost about £15.

Hope this helps
