Next door neighbour has asked for my advice on buying her hubby a surround sound system for Xmas - so far they only play their DVDs on a PS2 so I have recommended she buys a new DVD player too. Budget is £200.

Page 745 of Argos catalogue shows this all in one system. Boasts 350W of power. Want to know:

Is it multi-region hackable?

Can you connect Sky box in for Pro-Logic sound?

Are there any digital audio INPUTS (i.e. for the PS2)?

Does it decode DTS as well as Dolby Digital?

If anyone has one I'd love to hear from them.

If not, I have told her my next best choice is the LG FA-P3000 speaker/decoder system on the next page @ £149.99 plus something like the Cyberhome DVD player that Smiths sell for £50, that everyone keeps raving about. Personally I would probably go that way, but the power of the LG system is only 200W and they are noise freaks. That figure is all she is interested in.

Any advice would be appreciated. It must be something she can go buy from a shop, not on the net. £200 is the total amount she can afford and it must include a Multi-region DVD player and good quality sound system.

Help!
